class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Honduras was awarded the \"Champions Malaria in the Americas 2019\" award from the Pan American Health Organization given to countries implementing actions against malaria.<\/p><p>Honduras underlined the importance of timely data capture to manage the required decisions, something they achieved using <em>District Health Information Software 2<\/em> (DHIS2), an open source health management information system.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-7cc43d4 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>That platform was used to unify different topics in order to achieve an Integrated Health Information System (SIIS), developed by the Unit Information Management (UGI), of the Health Secretariat which function was the quality information management in health sector and their evaluation.<\/p><p>The implementation of the module malaria based on DHIS2 has been carried out in endemic areas of the disease, such as Gracias a Dios, Isla de la Bah\u00eda y Colon in which has used both devices and computers<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-bcdae83\" data-id=\"bcdae83\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div levels.<\/li><li>Continue strengthening human resources in digital transformation.<\/li><li>Work in coordination with other countries to strengthen the exchange of electronic information cases, Honduras fue merecedor del premio \u201cCampeones de la Malaria 2019\u201d otorgado por la Organizaci\u00f3n Panamericana de la Salud entregado a los pa\u00edses que implementan acciones contra el paludismo o malaria. Honduras destac\u00f3 la importancia de contar con una oportuna captura de datos para gestionar las decisiones requeridas, algo que lograron utilizando el District Health Information Software 2 (DHIS2), un sistema de informaci\u00f3n de gesti\u00f3n de salud de c\u00f3digo abierto. Dicha plataforma se utiliz\u00f3 para integrar diferentes temas para lograr un Sistema Integrado de Informaci\u00f3n en Salud (SIIS), desarrollado por la Unidad de Gesti\u00f3n de Salud (UGI), de la Secretar\u00eda de Salud cuya funci\u00f3n fue la gesti\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n de calidad en el sector salud, as\u00ed como su evaluaci\u00f3n. La implementaci\u00f3n del m\u00f3dulo DHIS2 se realiz\u00f3 en zonas end\u00e9micas de la enfermedad, como Gracias a Dios, Islas de la Bah\u00eda y Colon en las cu\u00e1les se utilizaron computadoras y dispositivos. Carlos Miguel Herrera Sierra, coordinador de la UGI, destaca los principales retos para honduras sobre este sistema: Inversi\u00f3n nacional para garantizar la sostenibilidad y mantenimiento en el tiempo. Aprender de las lecciones en el proceso de implementaci\u00f3n en los distintos niveles. Continuar con el fortalecimiento de los recursos humanos en materia de transformaci\u00f3n digital. Trabajar de forma coordinada con otros pa\u00edses para fortalecer el intercambio de informaci\u00f3n electr\u00f3nica de los casos, sobre todo para el caso de Nicaragua. De esta forma, la experiencia de Honduras en la implementaci\u00f3n de nuevas tecnolog\u00edas en servicios de salud ha dejado una imagen positiva.
