The Mexican Government through the Secretary of Health and the Undersecretariat for Health Prevention and Promotion issued the daily technical statement of the novel Coronavirus in the world dated February 24.<\/p>

According to the information, until 9:00 pm on February 24, 2020, 79,331 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported. There are 77,262 cases in China and 2,069 in the rest of the world.<\/p>

There have been 2,595 deaths in China and 23 in the rest of the world, eight in Iran, seven in the Republic of Korea, four in Japan of which three were on the Diamond Princess cruiser, two in Italy and one in the Philippines and France.<\/p>

There are 29 countries that have reported confirmed cases of infections spread across five of the six regions of the World Health Organization, Region of the Americas, South-East Asia Region, Western Pacific Region, European Region and Eastern Mediterranean Region. There are no reported cases in the African Region.<\/p>

China has implemented changes to its protocols for the confirmation and classification of cases, the classification of \"clinically diagnosed\" has been removed and maintains as classifications only \"suspicious\" and \"confirmed\" the latter requires laboratory confirmation for complete accuracy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

InThe Chronic Disease Information System has been implemented in no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mexico<\/strong>Suspected cases have been ruled out. A total of 18 negative cases have been registered: one case in Oaxaca, Michoac\u00e1n, Guanajuato, Nuevo Le\u00f3n and Tamaulipas, two cases in the State of Mexico, four in Mexico City and seven in Jalisco, of the latter, two suspected cases were dropped on 19 February, one tested positive for Rhinovirus.<\/p>

There are currently no cases under investigation.<\/p>
