The Dominican Republic is concerned with covering the needs of its entire population through the advantages offered by Digital Health and its new Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Aiming to complement the new Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) with medical science and Digital Health, the Latin American Congress of Digital Health was held within the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The meeting focused on how to implement integrated systems with specialized software to make applications that allow, for example, having medical consultations at a distance and in real time; as well as recording clinical information electronically for its later exchange and use it in any health center.<\/p>

In this way, they expect to contribute knowledge and techniques to the Dominican public health service, thus strengthen its methods in a universal coverage that aims to reduce the access gap and can reach all people without exception.<\/p>

Through dialogue and exchange of experiences, a development that allows the incorporation of enough infrastructure to achieve an ecosystem connected hand in hand with the Ministry of Health was planned on order to \u201copen the doors for the country to face the challenges and opportunities that digital transformation brings to health \u201d.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Rep\u00fablica Dominicana se preocupa por cubrir las necesidades de toda su poblaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de las ventajas que ofrece la Salud Digital y sus nuevas Tecnolog\u00edas de la Informaci\u00f3n y la Comunicaci\u00f3n (TIC). Con el objetivo de complementar las nuevas Tecnolog\u00edas de la Informaci\u00f3n y la Comunicaci\u00f3n (TIC) con la ciencia m\u00e9dica y la Salud Digital, se realiz\u00f3 el Congreso Latinoamericano de Salud Digital dentro de Rep\u00fablica Dominicana. La reuni\u00f3n se centr\u00f3 en la forma de implementar sistemas integrados con software especializados para realizar aplicaciones que permitan, por ejemplo, establecer consultas m\u00e9dicas a distancia y en tiempo real; registrar informaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica de manera electr\u00f3nica para posteriormente, intercambiarla y usarse en cualquier centro de salud. De esta manera, se espera aportar conocimientos y t\u00e9cnicas al servicio de la salud p\u00fablica dominicana y, as\u00ed, fortalecer sus m\u00e9todos en una cobertura universal que apueste por disminuir la brecha de acceso y pueda llegar a todas las personas sin excepci\u00f3n. Mediante el di\u00e1logo e intercambio de experiencias, se planific\u00f3 un desarrollo que permite incorporar la infraestructura suficiente para lograr un ecosistema conectado de la mano del Ministerio de Salud, el cual expres\u00f3 que \u201cabrir\u00e1n las puertas para que el pa\u00eds transite con mayor velocidad para afrontar los retos y oportunidades que trae la transformaci\u00f3n digital en salud\u201d. Con estas acciones, Am\u00e9rica Latina se posiciona entre los pilares de la innovaci\u00f3n que trae la Salud Digital para empoderar al paciente y volverlo parte activa de todo tratamiento y de esta forma, pueda ser protagonista, monitorear y tomar decisiones sobre su propia condici\u00f3n de vida.
