In a statement released to the Journal of Health Communication, leading scientists\nworldwide are asking search engines and social media organizations to prevent the\ndissemination of inaccurate information on the issue of childhood vaccination, in hopes\nclose ranks around the lack of evidence scientist behind anti-vaccines.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Salzburg Declaration<\/strong> is focused on curbing the rise of the anti-vaccine movement as it\npromotes the elimination and attack of false news issued by misinformation in order to\nsupport the development of new, effective and fact-based communication programs<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The initiative has been supported by more than 60 health leaders in America, Africa, Asia,\nEurope and Australia. They call on search engines and social media organizations to join\nthe cause and help with their technology to block incomplete information and redirect to\nofficial health pages that contain consistent explanations on the topic of vaccination\nbenefits.<\/p>

Over history, vaccines have prevented hundreds of infectious diseases such as polio,\nmeasles, hepatitis B and meningitis, according to IntraMed, \u201chave saved 3 million lives a\nyear. Each dollar invested in child immunization returns up to 44 USD in benefits\u201d.<\/p>

The coverage promoted by the government to create public policies that make effective\nthe care of the handling and transfer of information, would be an important support for\nthe care of the quality of life of the citizens.<\/p>

Cient\u00edficos l\u00edderes a nivel mundial piden a los motores de b\u00fasqueda y organizaciones de medios sociales que prevengan la difusi\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n inexacta respecto al tema de la vacunaci\u00f3n infantil, en declaraci\u00f3n para el Journal of Health Communication, buscan cerrar filas en torno a la falta de evidencia cient\u00edfica detr\u00e1s de los anti-vacunas. La Declaraci\u00f3n de Salzburgo est\u00e1 enfocada a frenar el auge del movimiento de los antivacunas ya que promueve eliminar y atacar las noticias falsas emitidas por desinformaci\u00f3n con el fin de apoyar el desarrollo de programas de comunicaci\u00f3n nuevos, efectivos y basados en hechos. La iniciativa ha sido apoyada por m\u00e1s de 60 l\u00edderes de salud en Am\u00e9rica, \u00c1frica, Asia, Europa y Australia. Hacen un llamado a los motores de b\u00fasqueda y organizaciones de medios sociales para que se unan a la causa y ayuden con su tecnolog\u00eda para bloquear informaci\u00f3n incompleta y que redireccionen a p\u00e1ginas oficiales de salud que contengan explicaciones coherentes en el tema de los beneficios de la vacunaci\u00f3n. La vacunaci\u00f3n es un m\u00e9todo para prevenir el brote de enfermedades infecciosas; sus sustancias fortalecen el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico de las personas y las desarrolla para defenderse y no dejarse transmitir las enfermedades latentes. \u201cTenemos la intenci\u00f3n de mantener un ritmo constante de comunicaciones precisas sobre vacunas hasta el p\u00fablico tradicional”, dijo el Dr. Scott Ratzan, editor fundador de Journal of Health Communication y fundador del International Working Group (IWG) sobre soluciones de vacunaci\u00f3n y salud p\u00fablica.
