CENS TECH CHALLENGE, an entrepreneurship tournament in which programmers, entrepreneurs, and health professionals participated, was carried out to form the Chilean chapter of HL7.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The CENS TECH CHALLENGE<\/strong> was inaugurated in front of more than 100 members of the world of Digital Health on June 25. The world of information systems is at a crucial moment, in which, at its short existence, there are still thousands of fields undiscovered or fully known. With the aim of informing and instructing chilean entrepreneurs about new techniques, technologies and other important elements for the health sector, this series of free meet-ups began as part of a entrepreneurship tournament.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

This event, carried out by CENS and Open Beauchef<\/em>, Corfo and ITMS Chile, is characterized for promoting new entrepreneurs and their projects in the health sector, and providing them with all the information and training at a technological and digital level to allow substantial growth in the sector and thus achieving a mostly connected health system.<\/p>

This tournament also has a multidisciplinary approach, and has had the participation of a number of actors in the Digital Health ecosystem, including programmers, entrepreneurs and other innovators, regardless of their academic background or professional career.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Diego Kaminker, affiliated director of HL7 spoke about the HL7 standards available to innovate in Digital Health, and the progress that has been achieved and can continue to be achieved within the sector. \u201cHL7 FHIR is a facilitator. What we are currently doing with FHIR is to demolish all technological obstacles, so there only remain the political or the related to business rules ones\u201d, said the member of the Board of Directors of HL7 Argentina.<\/p>

One of the biggest attractions in the implementation of technology and digitalization of the health sector is, without a doubt, Big Data. The data that can be generated by health professionals about patients, conditions, treatments and other specifications, which allows the enhancement of search engines and predictions of many cases, achieving a better treatment of patients and therefore a better public health. Within the knowledge of Big Data, it\u2019s also sought to inform how to protect this very same data, and ensure patient safety. The objective is that users can access their information and even contribute to their clinical records through contributions on continuity or reactions to certain conditions or medications, progress, allergies, and so on. This will allow to be faster and more objective in the diagnosis, and more efficient in a global aspect.<\/p>

One of the advantages of digitizing information is that you don\u2019t start from a non existing infrastructure. Organizations begin by adapting what is already known and used in a smarter way. In addition, this process is less disruptive for a doctor or nurse, so adoption is more accelerated. Each time a new patient is treated, or one is followed up, there will already be a record or file that will be updated with this new consultation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Se llev\u00f3 a cabo el CENS TECH CHALLENGE, un torneo de emprendimiento en el que participan programadores, emprendedores, y profesionales de la salud, para conformar el cap\u00edtulo chileno de HL7. El pasado 25 de junio se inaugur\u00f3 frente a m\u00e1s de 100 miembros del mundo de la salud digital el CENS TECH CHALLENGE. El mundo de los sistemas de informaci\u00f3n se encuentra en un momento crucial, en el que, a su corta existencia, existen a\u00fan miles de campos sin descubrir o conocer del todo. Con el objetivo de informar e instruir a los emprendedores chilenos sobre nuevas t\u00e9cnicas, tecnolog\u00edas y otros elementos importantes para el sector de salud, se iniciaron esta serie de meet-ups gratuitos, como parte de un torneo de emprendimiento. Dicho evento llevado a cabo, por CENS y Open Beauchef, Corfo e ITMS Chile, se caracteriza por impulsar a nuevos emprendedores y a sus proyectos en el sector salud, y proveerlos con toda la informaci\u00f3n y adiestramiento a nivel tecnol\u00f3gico y digital para permitir un crecimiento sustancial en el sector y as\u00ed lograr un sistema de salud mayormente conectado. Este torneo, adem\u00e1s, tiene un enfoque multidisciplinario, y ha contado con la participaci\u00f3n de un sin n\u00famero de actores del ecosistema de salud digital, incluyendo a programadores, empresarios y dem\u00e1s innovadores, sin importar su formaci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica o trayectoria profesional. Diego Kaminker, director afiliado de HL7 habl\u00f3 sobre los est\u00e1ndares HL7 disponibles para innovar en salud digital, y los progresos que se han logrado y se pueden seguir logrando dentro del sector. \u201cHL7 FHIR es un facilitador. Lo que estamos haciendo actualmente con FHIR es demoler todos los obst\u00e1culos tecnol\u00f3gicos, que s\u00f3lo queden aquellos pol\u00edticos o relacionados con las reglas de negocio\u201d, dijo el tambi\u00e9n miembro del Consejo Directivo de HL7 Argentina. Uno de los mayores atractivos en la implementaci\u00f3n de la tecnolog\u00eda y la digitalizaci\u00f3n al sector salud, sin duda el mayor es el Big Data. Los datos que pueden ser generados por los profesionales de la salud sobre pacientes, condiciones, tratamientos y otras especificaciones, permiten entrenar motores de b\u00fasqueda y predicci\u00f3n de muchos casos, logrando un mejor tratamiento de los pacientes y por ende una mejor salud p\u00fablica. Dentro del conocimiento del Big Data, tambi\u00e9n se busca informar c\u00f3mo proteger estos datos, y garantizar la seguridad de los pacientes. El objetivo es que los usuarios puedan acceder a su informaci\u00f3n e incluso aportar a sus registros cl\u00ednicos mediante aportaciones sobre la continuidad o reacciones a ciertas condiciones o medicamentos, progresos, alergias, etc\u00e9tera. Esto permitir\u00e1 ser m\u00e1s veloces y objetivos en el diagn\u00f3stico, y m\u00e1s eficientes en un aspecto global. Una de las ventajas de la digitalizaci\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n es que no se empieza una infraestructura de cero. Las organizaciones comienzan adaptando lo que ya se conoce y utiliza de una forma m\u00e1s inteligente. Este proceso, adem\u00e1s, es menos disruptivo para un m\u00e9dico o enfermera, por lo que la adopci\u00f3n es m\u00e1s acelerada. Cada vez que traten a un paciente nuevo, o que se le d\u00e9 seguimiento a uno, ya existir\u00e1 un registro o expediente que se actualizar\u00e1 con esta nueva consulta.
