The South American country has turned its efforts to start a movement that allows citizens to have their information connected in Health Institutions in order to be able to access their digitally shared history.<\/p><p>The technical and strategic validation of the fourth stage of the plan for the adoption of the <strong><em>National Electronic Medical Record<\/em><\/strong>was carried out on Tuesday, June 26 this year and the informatic and management teams of the Institutions that make up the Health System participated.<\/p><p>The Minister of Public Health, Jorge Basso, said in an interview that, in this new stage, which formally began on Wednesday, June 27, the health teams of these service providers will be able to access the patient's clinical information in a timely manner, secure and online, regardless of the geographical location and the Institution where the information was generated, for this, each patient will needs to enable their history.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-05dd5d4 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no wpr-equal-height-no\" data-id=\"05dd5d4\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-354a877\" data-id=\"354a877\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4c48d86 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4c48d86\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The owner of the information is the user, and the data that is exchanged under the interoperability scheme is sensitive, so it must be treated with the highest international standards of information security to maintain confidentiality. Under these rules, the user decides the moment and with whom their information is shared.<\/p><p>In the first stage of the process to start the execution of the plan, 14 health service providers were connected through an interoperability scheme, and the early incorporation of the additional 29 is planned. This would connect the 43 existing and serving providers in the country.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column between digital platforms is essential to ensure the adequate provision of services for the benefit of the medical care that the person should receive.<\/p><p>It should be noted that Uruguay is part of D9, a group to which the nine countries in the world that have the most developed digital government La validaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica y estrat\u00e9gica de la cuarta etapa del plan de adopci\u00f3n de la Historia Cl\u00ednica Electr\u00f3nica Nacional, se realiz\u00f3 el martes 26 de junio de este a\u00f1o y participaron los equipos inform\u00e1ticos y de gesti\u00f3n de las instituciones integrantes del Sistema de Salud. El ministro de Salud P\u00fablica, Jorge Basso, se\u00f1al\u00f3 en entrevista que,&nbsp;en esta nueva etapa, la cual comenz\u00f3 formalmente el mi\u00e9rcoles 27 de junio, los equipos de salud de estos prestadores de servicios podr\u00e1n acceder a la informaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica del paciente de forma oportuna, segura y en l\u00ednea, independientemente del lugar geogr\u00e1fico y de la Instituci\u00f3n en la que se gener\u00f3 la informaci\u00f3n, siempre que la persona habilite el acceso a su historia. El titular de la informaci\u00f3n es el usuario, y los datos que se intercambian bajo el esquema de interoperabilidad son sensibles, por lo que deben ser tratados con los m\u00e1s altos est\u00e1ndares internacionales de seguridad de informaci\u00f3n para mantener la confidencialidad. Bajo estas reglas, el usuario decide el momento y con qui\u00e9n se comparte su informaci\u00f3n.
