Researchers from the New York University Grossman School of Medicine presented a comprehensive framework for equity in digital health.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The framework details the Key Determinants of Health, or DDoH, that support the work of Digital Health tool developers within industry, health system operations, and academia. The authors take into account that the digitalization of health care can be counterproductive if solutions are not developed that address health disparities. The authors refer to health equity as the absence of health inequities, differences in health that are unnecessary, avoidable, and unfair. Health disparities have reached digital transformation, for example, in the United States, the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act was approved in 2009, which promoted the adoption of clinical records (ECE) in health systems throughout the country.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

This led to the development of web portals that made it easier for patients to have access to their medical information through the Internet and currently the 95% of US hospitals use ECE certified by government authorities.<\/p>

The accelerated advance of Digital Health tools during the pandemic requires paying special attention to equity in digital health and the creation of a specific framework that details the key DDoH is a good start.<\/p>

The framework is divided into different categories, first the levels of influence divided into individual, interpersonal, community and social, likewise they are combined with each other with the biological, behavioral, physical and infrastructural domains of influence, digital environment, sociocultural environment and the health system. Investigadores de la Escuela de Medicina Grossman de la Universidad de Nueva York, presentaron un marco integral para la equidad en salud digital. El marco detalla los determinantes clave de la salud o DDoH en ingl\u00e9s, que respaldan el trabajo de los desarrolladores de herramientas de Salud Digital dentro de la industria, las operaciones de sistemas de salud y la academia. Los autores toman en cuenta que la digitalizaci\u00f3n de la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica puede ser contraproducente si no se desarrollan soluciones que atiendan las disparidades en salud. Es decir, aspectos socioecon\u00f3micos, comunitarios, de alfabetizaci\u00f3n digital o de infraestructura, que influyen en la adopci\u00f3n de la Salud Digital en entornos m\u00e9dicos. Los autores se refieren a la equidad en salud como la ausencia de inequidades en salud, diferencias en salud que son innecesarias, evitables e injustas. Las disparidades en salud han alcanzado a la transformaci\u00f3n digital, por ejemplo, en Estados Unidos, fue aprobada en 2009 la Ley de Tecnolog\u00eda de la Informaci\u00f3n de la Salud para la Salud Econ\u00f3mica y Cl\u00ednica (HITECH), que impuls\u00f3 la adopci\u00f3n de los expedientes cl\u00ednicos electr\u00f3nicos (ECE) en sistemas de salud en todo el pa\u00eds. Esto deriv\u00f3 en el desarrollo de portales web que facilitaron que los pacientes tuvieran acceso a su informaci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica por medio de internet y que actualmente el 95% de los hospitales estadounidenses utilicen ECE certificado por autoridades gubernamentales. El avance acelerado de la de herramientas de Salud Digital durante la pandemia, requiere tomar especial atenci\u00f3n en la equidad en salud digital y la creaci\u00f3n de un marco especifico que detalle los DDoH clave es un buen inicio. El marco est\u00e1 dividido en diferentes categor\u00edas, primero los niveles de influencia divididos en individual, interpersonal, comunitario y social, as\u00ed mismo se combinan entre s\u00ed con los dominios de influencia biol\u00f3gicos, de comportamiento, f\u00edsicos y de infraestructura, ambiente digital, ambiente sociocultural y el sistema de salud.
