The legislative project that seeks the regulation of health providers to provide telemedicine care passed to a Mixed Commission in the Chilean Senate.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The regulation of telemedicine continues to advance in the Chilean Senate. This project seeks to modify the law of duties and rights of patients, by regulating health care regardless of the care modality, face-to-face or through telemedicine. The bill recently became part of a Mixed Commission.<\/p>

In this sense, both the senators involved and the Ministry of Health agreed that the project can be improved through a Mixed Commission, in which a definitive text will be drafted and presented.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

One of the members of the Health Commission, Senator Juan Luis Castro, explained that \u201cthis project lacks a regulation, that is why it is important to work on it in a Mixed. This is because it will allow, among other things, to reduce waiting lists. There is an agreement to work transversally in the Mixed Commission\u201d.<\/p>

The project addresses the conditions in which health providers can provide remote care, the use of technologies to exchange information related to diagnosis, therapy, rehabilitation, palliative care, disease prevention, injuries, research and evaluation.<\/p>

El proyecto legislativo que busca la regulaci\u00f3n de los prestadores de salud para realizar atenci\u00f3n por telemedicina pas\u00f3 a una Comisi\u00f3n Mixta en el Senado de Chile. La regulaci\u00f3n de la telemedicina contin\u00faa avanzando en el Senado de Chile. Este proyecto busca modificar la ley de deberes y derechos de los pacientes, al regular la atenci\u00f3n de salud sin importar la modalidad de atenci\u00f3n, presencial o mediante telemedicina. Recientemente el proyecto de ley pas\u00f3 a formar parte de una Comisi\u00f3n Mixta. En este sentido tanto los senadores involucrados y el Ministerio de Salud acordaron que el proyecto se puede mejorar por medio de una Comisi\u00f3n Mixta, en la cual se redactar\u00e1 y se presentar\u00e1 un texto definitivo. Uno de los integrantes de la Comisi\u00f3n de Salud, el senador Juan Luis Castro, explic\u00f3 que \u201ca este proyecto le falta un reglamento, por eso es importante trabajarlo en una Mixta. Esto porque permitir\u00e1, entre otras cosas, rebajar las listas de espera. Hay acuerdo para trabajar transversalmente en la Comisi\u00f3n Mixta\u201d. El proyecto aborda las condiciones en las que los prestadores de salud pueden realizar atenciones a distancia, el uso de tecnolog\u00edas para intercambiar informaci\u00f3n relacionada con diagn\u00f3stico, terapia, rehabilitaci\u00f3n, cuidados paliativos, prevenci\u00f3n de enfermedades, lesiones, investigaci\u00f3n y evaluaci\u00f3n. De igual forma esta iniciativa de ley considera el uso de telemedicina en condiciones de atenci\u00f3n ambulatoria y hospitalaria.
