The Municipality of Sao Caetano do Sul, in the north of Brazil, announced that the implementation of the Municipal Telemedicine Nucleus could increase the offer of consultations in medical specialties in a 60%.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

On August 12, Sao Caetano health authorities inaugurated the Clinical Hospital Complex, the Municipal Telemedicine Nucleus, which has five virtual clinics that offer care in seven specialties: cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, neurology, otorhinolaryngology, rheumatology and health cardiovascular. The pilot program for this service began on August 1 and achieved the scheduling of nearly 600 queries.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere will be about 1,000 more inquiries per week, totaling 4,000 per month. We will be able to meet the accumulated demand in these specialties, which is around 12,200 consultations, in less than four months. The Telemedicine Nucleus works in the following way: The patient goes to the establishment, where he is guided and assisted by a nursing team that performs the triage, examination tomographies, which the doctor later analyzes. Then the doctor performs the teleconsultation and the patient receives their medical prescriptions if necessary. The medical team will be made up of 30 specialists, as well as administrative staff for the appointment schedule.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cOur expectation is to expand care in other specialties, with doctors from our network. We never imagined that we would reach a remote consultation service. The Teleservice gained strength in the pandemic and is here to stay, it is a path of no return. The service continues to be humanized, with total attention to the patient. A nurse remains in the room throughout the consultation, guiding and helping in whatever is necessary\u201d, explained the Secretary of Health, Regina Maura Zetone.<\/p>\n

El Municipio de Sao Caetano do Sul, al norte de Brasil, anunci\u00f3 que la implementaci\u00f3n del N\u00facleo Municipal de Telemedicina podr\u00eda aumentar aumentado la oferta de consultas en especialidades m\u00e9dicas en un 60%. El N\u00facleo de Telemedicina, funciona de la siguiente manera: El paciente acude al establecimiento, donde es guiado y asistido por un equipo de enfermer\u00eda que realiza el triaje, tomograf\u00edas de ex\u00e1menes, que posteriormente el m\u00e9dico analiza. Luego el m\u00e9dico realiza la teleconsulta y el paciente recibe sus recetas m\u00e9dicas en caso de ser necesario. El equipo m\u00e9dico estar\u00e1 formado por 30 especialistas, adem\u00e1s de personal administrativo para la agenda de consultas.  \u201cNuestra expectativa es ampliar la atenci\u00f3n en otras especialidades, con m\u00e9dicos de nuestra red. Nunca imaginamos que llegar\u00edamos a un servicio de consulta a distancia. El Teleservicio cobr\u00f3 fuerza en la pandemia y lleg\u00f3 para quedarse, es un camino sin retorno. Se sigue humanizando el servicio, con total atenci\u00f3n al paciente. Una enfermera permanece en la sala durante toda la consulta, orientando y ayudando en lo que sea necesario\u201d, explic\u00f3 la secretaria de Salud, Regina Maura Zetone.
