In February 2020, a Digital Unit was inaugurated at the Comprehensive Care Center for Essential Health Services (CAISES) 10 de Mayo in Le\u00f3n, Guanajuato, focused on offering preventive and follow-up services to patients in a timely manner. <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Digital Unit of CAISES 10 de Mayo had an investment of more than 36 million pesos, with the aim of benefiting and expanding access to health to more than 55,000 people in towns belonging to jurisdiction 7 of Guanajuato. Carlos Slim Foundation participated in the development of this project and in the implementation of digital platforms.<\/p>

The Digital Health Unit incorporates the Integrated Measurement for Timely Detection (MIDO) platform, developed by the Carlos Slim Foundation. Its objective is to systematically and comprehensively assess the risk of patients developing chronic diseases. MIDO focuses on the timely detection of five specific conditions such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol and kidney disease. Likewise, the Digital Unit keeps track of the patient's life from pregnancy and childhood to adulthood.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In addition, through the MIDO trolleys, it is possible to verify a family history of illness, current health status, obtain weight, circumference sizes, blood pressure and glucose levels. By entering the data into the digital platform, it is possible to show patients what the next steps are for disease prevention and their current risks.<\/p>

\u201cBeing digital makes it much easier for us since it allows us to monitor the people who come to the consultation and who do not come to the consultation and then they are enough to monitor, for example, chronic degenerative diseases, hypertension, diabetes, how are your controls you are not doing what you have to do it is different that someone is there saying what you have to do\u201d, explained Dr. Miriam Huaste, director of CAISES 10 de Mayo.<\/p>

These types of tools facilitate patient follow-up, in addition to avoiding long lines to receive medical attention that requires just a few minutes to perform a preventive check-up or diagnose chronic diseases. En febrero de 2020 fue inaugurada una Unidad Digital en el Centro de Atenci\u00f3n Integral de Servicios Esenciales de Salud (CAISES) 10 de Mayo de Le\u00f3n, Guanajuato, enfocada en ofrecer servicios preventivos y de seguimiento a pacientes de forma oportuna. La Unidad Digital del CAISES 10 de Mayo cont\u00f3 con una inversi\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 36 millones de pesos, con el objetivo de beneficiar y ampliar el acceso a la salud a m\u00e1s de 55 mil personas en localidades pertenecientes a la jurisdicci\u00f3n 7 de Guanajuato. Fundaci\u00f3n Carlos Slim particip\u00f3 en el desarrollo de este proyecto y en la implementaci\u00f3n de plataformas digitales. La Unidad de Salud Digital incorpora la plataforma Medici\u00f3n Integrada para la Detecci\u00f3n Oportuna (MIDO), desarrollada por Fundaci\u00f3n Carlos Slim. Su objetivo es valorar de forma sistem\u00e1tica e integral el riesgo de los pacientes de desarrollar enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas. MIDO se enfoca en la detecci\u00f3n oportuna de cinco condiciones espec\u00edficas como lo son obesidad, hipertensi\u00f3n, diabetes, colesterol y enfermedades renales. Asimismo, la Unidad Digital lleva una l\u00ednea de vida del paciente desde el embarazo y la infancia hasta la adultez. Adem\u00e1s, por medio de los carros MIDO es posible verificar antecedentes familiares de enfermedad, estado actual de salud, obtener peso, tallas en circunferencia, presi\u00f3n arterial y niveles de glucosa. Al ingresar los datos a plataforma digital es posible mostrarles a los pacientes cu\u00e1les son las siguientes etapas para la prevenci\u00f3n de enfermedades y sus riesgos actuales. \u201cSer digital a nosotros nos facilita much\u00edsimo ya que nos permite dar el seguimiento de las personas que acuden a la consulta y que no acuden a la consulta y luego bastan para el seguimiento por ejemplo de enfermedades cr\u00f3nico degenerativas, hipertensi\u00f3n, diabetes, c\u00f3mo est\u00e1n tus controles no est\u00e1s haciendo lo que tienes que hacer es diferente que est\u00e9 alguien ah\u00ed diciendo lo que tienes que hacer\u201d, explic\u00f3 la Dra. Este tipo de herramientas facilitan el seguimiento a pacientes, adem\u00e1s de evitar largas filas para recibir atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica que requiere apenas unos minutos para realizar un chequeo preventivo o realizar un diagn\u00f3stico de enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas.  En ese sentido, las citas electr\u00f3nicas tambi\u00e9n han facilitado que los pacientes regresen a consultas eventualmente.
