The Provincial Telehealth Program of the Ministry of Health of Chubut has grown in recent years to offer greater equity in medical care for the population.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Province of Chubut has the third largest area in Argentina, and is located in the south center of the Patagonian region. It is also one of the least populated provinces in Argentina with just over 587 thousand inhabitants. Due to the geographical conditions of this province, the telehealth program is of the utmost importance, to offer specialized medical care to the population in a timely manner.<\/p>

Through telehealth tools, it is possible to bring medical care services closer to people who live in remote territories or who do not have enough specialist doctors or health centers to attend to.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

During the "III Provincial Conference on Telehealth", organized by the Ministry of Health of the Province, the progress of telehealth in the province was reported. Thanks to a link between the province and the Garrahan Hospital in Buenos Aires, they have facilitated pediatric consultations by telemedicine. Of which only 2% required the transfer of patients to Buenos Aires to receive medical care.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Celeste Savignano, leader of Telehealth at Garrahan Hospital, attended the event, which had the theme "Telehealth: a prioritized strategy for the current challenges of the health system", who explained that "these provincial sessions were very important to continue strengthening the bonds of trust that exist between the province of Chubut and various national entities, such as the Garrahan Hospital itself, thus promoting the integration and articulation of the Federal Telehealth and Distance Communication Network\u201d.<\/p>

In addition, he explained that the Telehealth Network was created 25 years ago and that Chubut has been part of it for 15 years, which explains the progress made by various hospitals in the province in remote medical care. El Programa Provincial de Telesalud del Ministerio de Salud del Chubut ha crecido durante los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os para ofrecer mayor equidad en la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica para la poblaci\u00f3n. La Provincia del Chubut tiene la tercera superficie m\u00e1s grande de Argentina, y est\u00e1 ubicada al centro sur de la regi\u00f3n patag\u00f3nica. Es adem\u00e1s una de las provincias menos pobladas de Argentina con un poco m\u00e1s de 587 mil habitantes. Debido a las condiciones geogr\u00e1ficas de esta provincia, el programa de telesalud es de suma importancia, para ofrecer atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica especializada oportunamente a la poblaci\u00f3n. Por medio de herramientas de telesalud es posible acercar los servicios de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica a personas que viven en territorios alejados o que no cuentan con suficientes m\u00e9dicos especialistas o centros de salud donde atender. Durante las \u201cIII Jornadas Provinciales de Telesalud\u201d, organizadas por el Ministerio de Salud de la Provincia, se inform\u00f3 sobre el avance de la telesalud en la provincia. Gracias a un v\u00ednculo entre la provincia y el Hospital Garrahan de Buenos Aires, han facilitado las consultas pedi\u00e1tricas por telemedicina. De las cuales solo 2% requirieron el traslado de los pacientes a Buenos Aires para recibir atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica. En el evento que tuvo como tema \u201cTelesalud: estrategia priorizada para los desaf\u00edos actuales del sistema de salud\u201d, cont\u00f3 con la presencia de Celeste Savignano, l\u00edder de Telesalud en el Hospital Garrahan, quien explic\u00f3 que \u201cestas jornadas provinciales fueron muy importantes para seguir fortaleciendo los v\u00ednculos de confianza que existen entre la provincia de Chubut y diversas entidades nacionales, como el propio Hospital Garrahan, promoviendo as\u00ed la integraci\u00f3n y la articulaci\u00f3n de la Red Federal de Telesalud y Comunicaci\u00f3n a Distancia\u201d. Adem\u00e1s, explic\u00f3 que la Red de Telesalud fue creada hace 25 a\u00f1os y que Chubut ha sido parte de ella por 15 a\u00f1os, lo que explica el avance alcanzado por diversos hospitales de la provincia en atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica a distancia. Asimismo, Savignano destac\u00f3 que durante la pandemia los servicios de salud de Chubut lograron un mayor acceso a la poblaci\u00f3n a los servicios de salud y mayor equidad en la atenci\u00f3n.
