A year ago, a technical cooperation project began between the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Municipal Department of S\u00e3o Paulo in Brazil to update the municipality's Virtual Health Library (VHL).<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

PAHO had the support of the Latin American and Caribbean Center for Health Sciences Information (BIREME) to carry out a PHASE II strengthening strategy for the S\u00e3o Paulo VHL. During this first year, efforts focused on renewing and updating the library's products and services and including new sources of health information.<\/p>

In the first place, the architecture of the web portal of the VHL Sao Paulo was updated and renewed. The objective was to organize the main contents of the site prioritized by the same users thanks to an investigation and analysis of the access statistics to the portal.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In December of last year, this collaboration held the S\u00e3o Paulo SMS VHL Meeting with the Municipal Health Care Network, in which the Sao Paulo VHL was presented. Subsequently, in April, two workshops were held on Training in VHL Information Sources, which served to develop the capacities of technicians from the S\u00e3o Paulo municipal health network in terms of analysis, registration, and indexing of scientific production. and technician of municipal health institutions.<\/p>

The first workshop focused on the bibliographic production of books, technical notes, bulletins, reports, and information for patients; and the second workshop focused on non-bibliographic information sources such as multimedia and internet resources.<\/p>

Hace un a\u00f1o comenz\u00f3 un proyecto de cooperaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica entre la Organizaci\u00f3n Panamericana de la Salud (OPS) y el Departamento Municipal de Sao Paulo en Brasil para la actualizaci\u00f3n de la Biblioteca Virtual de Salud (BVS) del municipio. La OPS cont\u00f3 con el apoyo del Centro Latinoamericano y del Caribe de Informaci\u00f3n en Ciencias de la Salud, (BIREME), para llevar a cabo una estrategia de fortalecimiento FASE II de la BVS Sao Paulo. Durante este primer a\u00f1o los esfuerzos se centraron en renovar y actualizar los productos y servicios de la biblioteca e incluir nuevas fuentes de informaci\u00f3n en salud. En primer lugar, se actualiz\u00f3 y renov\u00f3 la arquitectura del portal web de la BVS Sao Paulo. El objetivo fue organizar los principales contenidos del sitio priorizados por los mismos usuarios gracias a una investigaci\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis de las estad\u00edsticas de acceso al portal. En diciembre del a\u00f1o pasado, esta colaboraci\u00f3n celebr\u00f3 el Encuentro de la BVS SMS S\u00e3o Paulo con la Red Municipal de Atenci\u00f3n a Salud, en el cual se present\u00f3 la BVS Sao Paulo. Posteriormente realizaron diversas reuniones t\u00e9cnicas. Posteriormente, en abril se realizaron dos talleres sobre la Capacitaci\u00f3n en Fuentes de Informaci\u00f3n de la BVS, que sirvi\u00f3 para desarrollar las capacidades de los t\u00e9cnicos de la red municipal de salud de Sao Paulo en cuando al an\u00e1lisis, registro, e indexaci\u00f3n de la producci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica y t\u00e9cnica de las instituciones municipales de salud. El primer taller se enfoc\u00f3 en la producci\u00f3n bibliogr\u00e1fica de libros, notas t\u00e9cnicas, boletines, informes, e informaci\u00f3n para pacientes; y el segundo taller tuvo como enfoque las fuentes de informaci\u00f3n no bibliogr\u00e1fica como multimedia y recursos de internet. Adem\u00e1s, durante este proceso de capacitaci\u00f3n y desarrollo de la BVS se publicaron cuatro informes de experiencia, as\u00ed como una vitrina del conocimiento que contiene temas prioritarios de salud para el municipio.
