The World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Digital Health and AI Research Collaborative (I-DAIR) have formed an alliance for inclusive, impactful and responsible research in Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence (AI).<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

WHO and I-DAIR signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which aims to organize joint efforts to promote and develop the use of digital technologies for personal and public health throughout the world.<\/p>

I-DAIR is a platform with various stakeholders who join forces in the collaboration of global research on Digital Health. Its main tasks are to develop global public goods that solve problems related to the deployment of AI and data for health in an inclusive, equitable and responsible way.<\/p>

The MoU seeks to address urgent health challenges, specifically in low- and middle-income countries and thus encourage their participation in research, development and governance of Digital Health and AI.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The activities to be carried out by both the WHO and its regional offices, and the I-DAIR, involve tasks such as the promotion and development of new standards and guidelines for health data governance, with a model that perceives these data as a public good. In the same way, they will seek to create evidence to generate investments in Digital Health at a global level and strengthen the digital capacities of the interested parties.<\/p>

The MoU was signed by the Director General of the WHO, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Dr. Amandeep Gill, Executive Director and Director of the I-DAIR Project, and Dr. Marie-Laure Salles, Director of the Institute of Geneva graduates.<\/p>

La Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS) y el Colaborativo Internacional de Investigaci\u00f3n en Salud Digital e IA (I-DAIR) formaron una alianza por la investigaci\u00f3n inclusiva, de impacto y responsable en Salud Digital e Inteligencia Artificial (IA). La OMS la I-DAIR, firmaron el Memorando de Entendimiento (MoU, en ingl\u00e9s), que tiene como objetivo organizar esfuerzos en conjunto para promover y desarrollar el uso de tecnolog\u00edas digitales para la salud personal y p\u00fablica en todo el mundo. I-DAIR es una plataforma con diversos actores involucrados que re\u00fanen esfuerzos en la colaboraci\u00f3n de la investigaci\u00f3n global sobre Salud Digital. Sus principales tareas son desarrollar bienes p\u00fablicos globales que resuelvan problem\u00e1ticas relacionadas con el despliegue de IA y datos para la salud de forma inclusiva, equitativa y responsable. El MoU busca atender desaf\u00edos de salud urgentes, espec\u00edficamente en pa\u00edses de ingresos bajos y medianos y as\u00ed fomentar su participaci\u00f3n en investigaci\u00f3n, desarrollo y gobernanza de Salud Digital e IA. \u201cLa asociaci\u00f3n se centrar\u00e1 en lograr estos objetivos comunes a trav\u00e9s de un enfoque multifac\u00e9tico centrado en promover la colaboraci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica entre dominios y fronteras e implementar soluciones innovadoras de salud digital a largo plazo, de acuerdo con las recomendaciones de la OMS y los est\u00e1ndares de interoperabilidad\u201d, explica la OMS en su comunicado de prensa.
