The city of Tarapoto is located in the department of San Mart\u00edn in northern Peru, and is also the most populous city in the department. For this reason, the Social Security of Peru (EsSalud), seeks to extend its program of telemedicine services for its policyholders throughout the country.<\/p>

In this way, the Telemedicine service of the Tarapoto Healthcare Network will begin operating during the week of July 18, 2022, with the aim of reducing waiting times for diagnoses and providing timely treatment to patients, based on the use of Technological tools.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

One of the first actions of the Tarapoto Assistance Network is the execution of remote monitoring tests for insured persons who are part of the Home Care and Chronic Patients Program. \u201cThis service will allow the specialist doctor to consult the patient, who will not have to go to any health center, but will receive the medical appointment at home, all within the institutional policy of having the patient as the central axis of care. \u201d, explained Dr. Beltr\u00e1n Lozano Gonz\u00e1les, director of the network.<\/p>

Currently, EsSalud's Tarapoto Assistance Network has more than 116,000 policyholders, who could benefit directly from the incorporation of remote health services such as telemedicine and telemonitoring. Likewise, inhabitants of other localities and insured persons of other care networks could access the Tarapoto telemedicine service.<\/p>

For the implementation of telemedicine services, the network will have six virtual clinics for teleconsultations and four for the teleradiology service.<\/p>

El servicio de telemedicina de la Red Asistencial en Tarapoto, Per\u00fa comenzar\u00e1 a funcionar durante la tercera semana de julio. La ciudad de Tarapoto se encuentra en el departamento de San Mart\u00edn al norte de Per\u00fa, y es adem\u00e1s la ciudad m\u00e1s poblada del departamento. Por ello el Seguro Social de Per\u00fa (EsSalud), busca extender su programa de servicios de telemedicina para sus asegurados en todo el pa\u00eds. De esta forma el servicio de Telemedicina de la Red Asistencial Tarapoto, comenzar\u00e1 a funcionar durante la semana del 18 de julio de 2022, con el objetivo de reducir los tiempos de espera en diagn\u00f3sticos y brindar tratamientos oportunos a los pacientes, apoy\u00e1ndose en el uso de herramientas tecnol\u00f3gicas. Una de las primeras acciones de la Red Asistencial Tarapoto es la ejecuci\u00f3n de pruebas de monitoreo remoto a asegurados que forman parte del Programa de Atenci\u00f3n Domiciliaria y Pacientes Cr\u00f3nicos. \u201cEste servicio permitir\u00e1 al m\u00e9dico especialista hacer la consulta al paciente, quien no tendr\u00e1 que trasladarse a ning\u00fan centro asistencial, sino que recibir\u00e1 la cita m\u00e9dica en su hogar, todo ello dentro de la pol\u00edtica institucional de tener al paciente como eje central de la atenci\u00f3n\u201d, explic\u00f3 el Dr. Beltr\u00e1n Lozano Gonz\u00e1les, director de la red. Actualmente la Red Asistencial Tarapoto de EsSalud cuenta con m\u00e1s de 116 mil asegurados, que podr\u00edan verse beneficiados directamente con la incorporaci\u00f3n de servicios de salud a distancia como la telemedicina y el telemonitoreo. Asimismo, habitantes de otras localidades y asegurados de otras redes asistenciales podr\u00edan acceder al servicio de telemedicina de Tarapoto. Para la implementaci\u00f3n de los servicios de telemedicina la red contar\u00e1 con seis consultorios virtuales para realizar teleconsultas y cuatro para el servicio de teleradiolog\u00eda.
