The Family Health Centers (CESFAM) in Chile are an important part of the health system, since their task is to divide geographical areas according to the characteristics of each region and provide adequate medical care. On July 8, the North CESFAM of the Los Angeles commune, in the province of Biob\u00edo, officially announced the operation of the telehealth strategy. El Ministerio de Salud de Chile (Minsal) inicia una nueva etapa en su estrategia de telesalud. Los Centros de Salud Familiares (CESFAM) en Chile, son una parte importante del sistema de salud, ya que su tarea es dividir \u00e1reas geogr\u00e1ficas de acuerdo con las caracter\u00edsticas de cada regi\u00f3n y brindar la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica adecuada. Adem\u00e1s, otro de sus objetivos es que la relaci\u00f3n entre el equipo de salud y la poblaci\u00f3n sea m\u00e1s estrecha. El 8 de julio el CESFAM Norte de la comuna de Los \u00c1ngeles, en la provincia de Biob\u00edo, anunci\u00f3 oficialmente el funcionamiento de la estrategia de telesalud. Esta iniciativa del Minsalud, busca mejorar los servicios de atenci\u00f3n a distancia y el CESFAM Norte de Los \u00c1ngeles fue seleccionado para desarrollar el plan piloto de esta estrategia que busca replicarse a nivel nacional. De esta forma el plan piloto va a implementar una plataforma virtual que busca optimizar los recursos y gestionar de mejor manera la atenci\u00f3n a distancia. “\u201cEstamos muy, muy contentos. \u00c9sta es una plataforma que hemos ido probando para que, efectivamente, pueda estar en rodaje y nos damos cuenta que es absolutamente \u00fatil. A nosotros lo que nos interesa es dar m\u00e1s dignidad a las personas que se atienden en la atenci\u00f3n p\u00fablica y, con esto, una buena parte de eso se va resolviendo”, explic\u00f3 el alcalde de la comuna Esteban Krause. Por su parte, el subsecretario de Redes Asistenciales del Minsal, Fernando Araos coment\u00f3 que el de Los \u00c1ngeles ser\u00e1 el primer CESFAM, a nivel nacional, que ha implemente esta nueva estrategia y que el plan a futuro es extender la iniciativa a m\u00e1s de 20 CESFAM a final del 2022, y m\u00e1s de 50 para el pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o. \u201cCon esta estrategia estamos llegando a m\u00e1s de 2 millones de personas que puedan acceder, a trav\u00e9s de una plataforma digital, a solicitar y de esa manera lo podemos ver hoy d\u00eda c\u00f3mo han disminuido las t\u00edpicas filas que ve\u00edamos, anteriormente, para buscar n\u00fameros de atenci\u00f3n.
