The government of the state of Sonora, through the Ministry of Health, announced the creation of a telemedicine program that seeks to bring health services to the most remote places in the entity.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The telemedicine strategy will be implemented initially in the municipalities of Cumpas, Bacanora, Sahuaripa, Arivechi, Y\u00e9cora, Rosario, Quiriego, \u00d3navas, San Javier, Soyopa, Ures and in the town of Miguel Alem\u00e1n in the state capital of Hermosillo. More than 745 thousand pesos were allocated as the first investment for the creation of this project.<\/p>

The strategy will offer specialized medical care such as pediatrics, internal medicine, through virtual modalities such as telemedicine. \u201cThrough telemedicine, it is a way in which specialists can approach people who require it in different locations on a day-to-day basis,\u201d said state health secretary Jos\u00e9 Luis Alom\u00eda.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Likewise, Alom\u00eda explained that the health secretary selected municipalities with specific characteristics to be able to implement the work successfully and in places where it is necessary. This strategy will offer services from the Operations Center, where specialist doctors will be located, prepared to offer interconsultations. This center is located in the General Hospital of the States (HGE) and in the Children's Hospital of the State (HIES). On the other hand, the medical specialists and trainees in the ten locations selected to start the project have already been trained to use the telemedicine service.<\/p>

In this way, the state of Sonora will facilitate access to specialized health services for rural communities that are far from the state's large hospitals. In this way, it will reduce and\/or avoid transportation expenses by the inhabitants of the aforementioned communities.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

El gobierno del estado de Sonora, a trav\u00e9s de la Secretar\u00eda de Salud, anunci\u00f3 la creaci\u00f3n de un programa de telemedicina que busca llevar servicios de salud a los lugares m\u00e1s alejados de la entidad. La estrategia de telemedicina ser\u00e1 implementada de manera inicial en los municipios de Cumpas, Bacanora, Sahuaripa, Arivechi, Y\u00e9cora, Rosario, Quiriego, \u00d3navas, San Javier, Soyopa, Ures y en el poblado Miguel Alem\u00e1n de la capital del estado Hermosillo. Asimismo, Alom\u00eda explic\u00f3 que la secretar\u00eda de salud seleccion\u00f3 municipios con caracter\u00edsticas espec\u00edficas para poder implementar el trabajo con \u00e9xito y en lugares donde es necesario. Por ejemplo, zonas rurales e ind\u00edgenas que est\u00e1n afectadas por diversas problem\u00e1ticas relacionadas con la pobreza con altos niveles de marginaci\u00f3n. Esta estrategia ofrecer\u00e1 servicios desde el Centro de Operaciones, donde se encontrar\u00e1n los m\u00e9dicos especialistas, preparados para ofrecer interconsultas. Este centro est\u00e1 ubicado en el Hospital General del Estados (HGE) y en el Hospital Infantil del Estado (HIES). Por otro lado, los m\u00e9dicos especialistas y pasantes en las diez localidades seleccionadas para iniciar el proyecto, ya han sido capacitados para utilizar el servicio de telemedicina. De esta forma el estado de Sonora facilitar\u00e1 el acceso a servicios de salud especializados a comunidades rurales y alejadas de los grandes hospitales del estado. De esta forma reducir\u00e1 y\/o evitar\u00e1 gastos de traslados por parte de los habitantes de las comunidades antes mencionadas.         Finalmente, el secretario de salud, explic\u00f3 que el programa de telemedicina llegar\u00e1 a 109 comunidades m\u00e1s.
