The health minister of La Pampa, Mario Kohan, participated in a session with the Social Legislation Commission, to talk with deputies about telemedicine projects in the province. One of the objectives of the executive of La Pampa, is the regulation of the Provincial System of Unique Digital Clinical History and the Telemedicine System.<\/p>

Minister Kohan highlighted the importance of having laws that regulate telemedicine, since it is an instrument that expands the rights of patients. La Pampa is an extensive territory, which in turn has a low population density, which makes it difficult for specialized doctors to work in hospitals far from urban centers. That is why the application of telemedicine is important, to bring specialized medicine closer to the entire population and achieve a more equitable health system.<\/p>

As for the digital medical record, the minister explained that it will not replace paper, since it is a process that will take place little by little. However, there are new hospitals that will not use paper for medical records, since these will start directly from digital.<\/p>

On the other hand, the deputy Mar\u00edn Balsa, explained that the digital clinical history: "allows a professional from the public or private sector to access all the information of that patient anywhere in the province." Diputados en la provincia de La Pampa, Argentina, se encuentran promoviendo leyes que favorezcan la implementaci\u00f3n de la telemedicina y la Historia Cl\u00ednica Digital. La Pampa, es un territorio extenso, que a su vez cuenta con baja densidad poblacional, esto dificulta que m\u00e9dicos especializados se desempe\u00f1en en hospitales alejados de centros urbanos. Por eso la aplicaci\u00f3n de la telemedicina es importante, para acercar la medicina especializada a toda la poblaci\u00f3n y lograr un sistema de salud m\u00e1s equitativo. En cuanto a la historia cl\u00ednica digital el ministro explic\u00f3, que esta no reemplazar\u00e1 el papel ya que es un proceso que se llevar\u00e1 poco a poco. No obstante, hay nuevos hospitales que no utilizar\u00e1n papel para las historias cl\u00ednicas, pues estas comenzar\u00e1n directamente desde lo digital. Por otra parte, el diputado Mar\u00edn Balsa, detall\u00f3 que la historia cl\u00ednica digital: \u201cpermite que, en cualquier lugar de la provincia, un profesional del \u00e1mbito p\u00fablico o privado, pueda acceder a toda la informaci\u00f3n de ese paciente\u201d.
