The first edition of the regional Conectat\u00f3n of the Health Sector in Latin America and the Caribbean, takes place from May 30 to June 1, 2022.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The event's objective is for ministries of health, agencies and government bodies to present their advances in digital transformation in the health sector. The invited countries are Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, El Salvador, Paraguay, Suriname, Peru and Uruguay, which are also part of the LACPass initiative of the American Network for Cooperation on Electronic Health (RACSEL) and the Inter-American Development Bank ( IDB).<\/p>

The first stage of the LACPass initiative responded to the need for the exchange of medical data for travelers, through the use of digital certificates of vaccination against COVID-19. This project allowed the coordination of technological tools among decision makers at the regional level, to validate the vaccination data of the users.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The second stage will be implemented during the second half of 2022, and aims to lay the foundations for implementing interoperable systems that allow the exchange of data in public health surveillance. In this sense, the third stage, which is projected for 2023, will seek to create guidelines for the implementation of a cross-border telehealth system and promote the use of the international patient summary (IPS).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

La primera edici\u00f3n de Conectat\u00f3n regional del Sector Salud en Latinoam\u00e9rica y el Caribe, se lleva cabo del 30 de mayo al 1 de junio de 2022. El evento tiene como objetivo que ministerios de salud, agencias y organismos gubernamentales, presenten sus avances en transformaci\u00f3n digital en el sector salud. Los pa\u00edses invitados son Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, El Salvador, Paraguay, Surinam, Per\u00fa y Uruguay, que adem\u00e1s forman parte de la iniciativa LACPass de la Red Americana de Cooperaci\u00f3n sobre Salud Electr\u00f3nica (RACSEL) y el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID). La primera etapa de la iniciativa LACPass respondi\u00f3 a la necesidad del intercambio de datos m\u00e9dicos para viajeros, mediante el uso de certificados digitales de vacunaci\u00f3n contra COVID-19.  Este proyecto permiti\u00f3 coordinar herramientas tecnol\u00f3gicas entre tomadores de decisiones a nivel regional, para validad los datos de vacunaci\u00f3n de los usuarios. La segunda etapa, se implementar\u00e1 durante la segunda mitad del 2022, y tiene como objetivo sentar las bases para implementar sistemas interoperables que permitan el intercambio de datos en la vigilancia de salud p\u00fablica. En este sentido, la tercera etapa, que est\u00e1 proyectada para 2023, buscar\u00e1 la creaci\u00f3n de lineamientos para la implementaci\u00f3n de un sistema de telesalud transfronterizo y fomentar el uso del resumen del paciente internacional (International Patient Summary – IPS). Los procedimientos del LACPass responden a est\u00e1ndares desarrollados por la Uni\u00f3n Europea, al IPS, y otros est\u00e1ndares recomendados por la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OPS).
