The Ministry of Health and Sports presented its Initial Public Accountability Report 2022, where they highlighted advances in telehealth and free health services.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Minister of Health and Sports, Jeyson Auza, explained that the ministry's programs have facilitated free access to medical care and health services for the population of rural areas in Bolivia. "It is important to highlight the work and approaches we have for each of the programs," he explained.<\/p>

The results of the report showed data from January to April 2022. In that period, the telehealth program provided 111,388 telemedicine medical services in various specialties and various population groups. Likewise, more than 5,000 ministry agents and health professionals were teletrained to use telemedicine tools.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In this way, Auza explained that connectivity has been key to the successful implementation of this telehealth project. \u201cTelehealth access has been guaranteed to 118 low-income municipalities throughout the national territory, covering the internet service with an investment of more than 5 million Bolivians,\u201d he mentioned.<\/p>

On the other hand, the minister called on the population and social organizations to work together to continue meeting the objectives of access to health in the country.<\/p>

Bolivia's national telehealth program was implemented between 2013 and 2014, and between 2020 and 2021<\/a>, reported growth in the use of these services due to the pandemic and the addition of more facilities and municipalities to their telehealth network.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

El Ministerio de Salud y Deportes present\u00f3 su informe de Rendici\u00f3n P\u00fablica de Cuentas Inicial 2022, donde destacaron los avances en telesalud y servicios gratuitos de salud. El ministro de Salud y Deportes, Jeyson Auza, explic\u00f3 que los programas del ministerio han facilitado el acceso gratuito a atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica y servicios de salud a la poblaci\u00f3n de zonas rurales en Bolivia. \u201cEs importante destacar el trabajo y los planteamientos que tenemos para cada uno de los programas\u201d, explic\u00f3. Los resultados del informe mostraron datos de enero a abril de 2022. En dicho periodo, el programa de telesalud realiz\u00f3 111 mil 388 atenciones m\u00e9dicas por telemedicina en diversas especialidades ya diversos grupos de poblaci\u00f3n. Asimismo, m\u00e1s de 5 mil agentes del ministerio y profesionales de la salud, fueron tele capacitados, para hacer uso de herramientas de telemedicina. De esta forma, Auza, explic\u00f3 que la conectividad ha sido clave para la implementaci\u00f3n con \u00e9xito de este proyecto de telesalud. \u201cSe ha garantizado al acceso de Telesalud a 118 municipios de bajos recursos en todo el territorio nacional cubriendo el servicio de internet con una inversi\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 5 millones de bolivianos\u201d, mencion\u00f3. Por otra parte, el ministro llam\u00f3 a la poblaci\u00f3n y a las organizaciones sociales a trabajar en conjunto para continuar cumpliendo los objetivos de acceso a la salud en el pa\u00eds.
