The Durango Health Secretariat (SSD) has, since 2017, a telemedicine strategy<\/a> which includes 26 hospitals connected to the State Telehealth Network (RET). Currently, the RET has medical units distributed in nine municipalities: 17 are Consulting Medical Units and 9 are Interconsulting Medical Units. The telehealth and telemedicine strategy aims to facilitate access to health services, especially at the first level of care.<\/p>

In this sense, the SSD has begun to provide mental health services through the telemedicine modality. The strategy began in the municipality of Guanacev\u00ed, where the health authorities held workshops for staff training.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Mental health care by telemedicine is a novelty in Durango, since, given the increase in demand for this type of service during the pandemic, the SSD chose to add mental health to its catalog of care in this modality and generally deal with this problem.<\/p>

\u201cWe are going to the municipalities, tomorrow (today, Wednesday) it is time to go to Pueblo Nuevo, the mental health brigades go to all the municipalities to attend to the entire society to attack and prevent this problem,\u201d explained the secretary of health, Sergio Gonz\u00e1lez Rosemary.<\/p>

In this sense, the secretary explained that the telemedicine mental health strategy promotes access to this type of service in remote municipalities. Las teleconsultas de salud mental, representan el 50% de las atenciones totales de telemedicina que se realizan en el estado de Durango. La Secretar\u00eda de Salud  de Durango (SSD) cuenta, desde el 2017, con una estrategia de telemedicina que incluye a 26 hospitales conectados a la Red Estatal de Telesalud (RET). Actualmente la RET cuenta con unidades m\u00e9dicas distribuidas en nueve municipios 17 son Unidad M\u00e9dica Consultante y 9 son Unidad M\u00e9dica Interconsultante. La estrategia de telesalud y telemedicina tiene como objetivo facilitar el acceso a servicios de salud, especialmente en el primer nivel de atenci\u00f3n. En este sentido, la SSD ha comenzado a brindar servicios de salud mental a trav\u00e9s de la modalidad de telemedicina. La estrategia inici\u00f3 en el municipio de Guanacev\u00ed, donde las autoridades de salud llevaron a cabo mesas de trabajo para la capacitaci\u00f3n del personal. La atenci\u00f3n de salud mental por telemedicina, es una novedad en Durango, ya que, ante el incremento en la demanda por este tipo de servicios durante la pandemia, la SSD opt\u00f3 por a\u00f1adir la salud mental dentro de su cat\u00e1logo de atenci\u00f3n en esta modalidad y en general atender esta problem\u00e1tica. \u201cEstamos acudiendo a los municipios, ma\u00f1ana (hoy mi\u00e9rcoles) toca acudir a Pueblo Nuevo, van las brigadas de salud mental a todos los municipios para atender a toda la sociedad para atacar y prevenir este problema\u201d, explic\u00f3 el secretario de salud, Sergio Gonz\u00e1lez Romero. En este sentido, el secretario explic\u00f3 que la estrategia de salud mental por telemedicina promueve el acceso a este tipo de servicios en municipios alejados. Adem\u00e1s, la SSD registra que cinco de cada diez consultas por telemedicina realizadas se relacionan con temas de salud mental.
