The COVID-19 Telemedicine Centers (Cetec) were an initiative by national governments and universities in Argentina, their objective was to provide monitoring to patients with non-severe COVID-19 infections.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Provincial Health Congress (COSAPRO) was held in the city of Mar del Plata and included the participation of members of the Cetec of the National University of the South (UNS). At the event, a research paper was presented on the quality of care for the more than 30,000 users who received advice and telephone monitoring during the pandemic.<\/p>

In the city of Bah\u00eda Blanca, province of Buenos Aires, the UNS Cetec began operating in August 2020. In this way, thanks to the work of university students who served as volunteers, the UNS was able to provide a response to the increase in cases of COVID-19 in the area.<\/p>

By phone or video, the volunteers carried out remote monitoring and follow-up of patients who were in preventive isolation due to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Cetec UNS began with 36 students from the Department of Health Sciences, who received a scholarship, and later, in April 2021, scholarships were provided to ten new volunteers.<\/p>

The study entitled "Evaluation of the quality of care and satisfaction of users assisted from the COVID-19 Telemedicine Center of the city of Bah\u00eda Blanca" by Cetec UNS, received the award in the "Management" category.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201cThe presentation was based on surveys of users of the telemedicine center evaluating the quality of care, and we showed that the objectives set when CETEC was launched were met. In addition, we were able to do a good methodological job, which is something that is also evaluated in these meetings\u201d explained Manuela Camarero, one of the authors of the study.<\/p>

The study showed a positive response from users of this service during follow-up, since the 90% considered that their concerns were resolved. Likewise, the 94% said they felt accompanied or very accompanied during this process.<\/p>

In addition to the Cetec UNS<\/a>, universities in Avellaneda, Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, among others, carried out a constant work of monitoring patients by telemedicine. Los Centros de Telemedicina COVID-19 (Cetec) fueron una iniciativa por parte de gobiernos y universidades nacionales en Argentina, su objetivo fue brindar monitoreo a pacientes con infecciones no severas de COVID-19. El Congreso de Salud Provincial (COSAPRO), se llev\u00f3 a cabo en la ciudad de Mar del Plata y cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de integrantes del Cetec de la Universidad Nacional del Sur (UNS). En el evento fue presentado un trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n sobre la calidad de la atenci\u00f3n a los m\u00e1s de 30 mil usuarios que recibieron asesor\u00eda y monitoreo telef\u00f3nico durante la pandemia. En la ciudad de Bah\u00eda Blanca, provincia de Buenos Aires, el Cetec de la UNS comenz\u00f3 a funcionar desde agosto de 2020.  De esta forma, gracias al trabajo de estudiantes universitarios que fungieron como voluntarios, la UNS pudo brindar una respuesta ante el aumento de casos de COVID-19 en la zona. Por tel\u00e9fono o video, los voluntarios realizaron monitoreo y seguimiento a distancia a los pacientes que se encontraban en aislamiento preventivo por un caso confirmado o sospechoso de COVID-19. El Cetec UNS comenz\u00f3 con 36 estudiantes del Departamento de Ciencias de la Salud, quienes recibieron una beca, y posteriormente, en abril de 2021, se brindaron becas a diez nuevos voluntarios. El estudio titulado \u201cEvaluaci\u00f3n de la calidad de atenci\u00f3n y satisfacci\u00f3n de los usuarios asistidos desde el Centro de Telemedicina COVID-19 de la ciudad de Bah\u00eda Blanca\u201d del Cetec UNS, recibi\u00f3 el premio en la categor\u00eda “Gesti\u00f3n”. \u201cLa ponencia se bas\u00f3 en las encuestas a los usuarios del centro de telemedicina evaluando la calidad de la atenci\u00f3n, y demostramos que se cumplieron los objetivos planteados cuando se puso en marcha el CETEC. Adem\u00e1s, pudimos hacer un buen trabajo metodol\u00f3gico, que es algo que tambi\u00e9n se eval\u00faa en estos encuentros\u201d explic\u00f3 Manuela Camarero, una de las autoras del estudio. El estudio mostr\u00f3 la respuesta positiva de los usuarios de este servicio durante el seguimiento, pues el 90% consider\u00f3 que sus inquietudes fueron resueltas. Asimismo, el 94% dijo sentirse acompa\u00f1ado o muy acompa\u00f1ado durante este proceso. Adem\u00e1s del Cetec UNS, universidades en Avellaneda, Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, entre otras, realizaron un constante trabajo de seguimiento de pacientes por telemedicina.
