Genomics and genetics play a key role in this approach, since it is through them that ideal treatments for each patient can be identified.<\/p><p>However, precision medicine is not limited to genetics alone, since the application of new technologies, such as machine learning models, big data, advanced imaging, robotic surgery, among others. In the emergency area, time is always a limitation, therefore, the application of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence or machine learning are key to its development.<\/p><p>Likewise, it has other specific applications such as the acquisition, management and distribution of medical images. En cuanto a las aplicaciones de este enfoque, en el \u00e1rea de oncolog\u00eda su aplicaci\u00f3n es m\u00e1s habitual, ya que es una de las especialidades con mayor cantidad de ensayos cl\u00ednicos y estudios denominados de oncolog\u00eda de precisi\u00f3n. En este sentido, la medicina de precisi\u00f3n en el tratamiento de c\u00e1ncer dirige sus capacidades a encontrar marcadores gen\u00e9ticos del tipo de c\u00e1ncer del paciente, as\u00ed como caracter\u00edsticas de tumores. Algunos ejemplos de medicina de precisi\u00f3n oncol\u00f3gica, son la secuenciaci\u00f3n de nueva generaci\u00f3n para identificar cambios gen\u00e9ticos en el ADN de tumores; o el an\u00e1lisis de perfiles gen\u00e9ticos a gran escala para determinar patrones que podr\u00edan predecir el c\u00e1ncer. Otra aplicaci\u00f3n de la medicina de precisi\u00f3n se encuentra en el \u00e1rea de medicina de urgencias, y sobre todo en la atenci\u00f3n prehospitalaria. En el \u00e1rea de urgencia, el tiempo siempre es una limitante, por ello, la aplicaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas como Inteligencia Artificial, o aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico son clave para su desarrollo. Asimismo, tiene otras aplicaciones espec\u00edficas como la adquisici\u00f3n, gesti\u00f3n y distribuci\u00f3n de im\u00e1genes m\u00e9dicas. O bien la aplicaci\u00f3n de la lenguaje natural y aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico en el triaje, que permite priorizar a pacientes en urgencias que requieran ingreso a El Dr. Theodoros Aslanidis, en su art\u00edculo Medicina de precisi\u00f3n en medicina de emergencias, explica que: \u201cLos m\u00e9todos de medicina de precisi\u00f3n pueden cambiar todos los aspectos de la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica: enfoque individual para quien lo necesita, salud p\u00fablica de precisi\u00f3n, educaci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica de precisi\u00f3n junto con educaci\u00f3n sobre medicina de precisi\u00f3n y sistemas de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica\u201d.
