The Catholic University of the Sant\u00edsima Concepci\u00f3n (UCSC) and the University of Concepci\u00f3n (UdeC), announced the creation of the Regional Center for Telemedicine and Telehealth in the Biob\u00edo region.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Regional Center for Telemedicine and Telehealth will be located in the Biob\u00edo region, and its objective is to improve access and health coverage for the population of the area through telemedicine and telehealth strategies.<\/p>

The UCSC School of Medicine and the UdeC Telemedicine Unit managed to partner for the implementation of this program, which also seeks to strengthen the Digital Health ecosystem in the region.<\/p>

The Regional Telemedicine Center will have four axes of action: Education, IDie (Research, development, innovation and entrepreneurship), Clinical Assistance and Digital Health Observatory.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

As for the last axis, this aims to create and formalize a Regional Digital Health Observatory, for the systematization of processes, data analysis, evaluation of results and decision making. This in order to favor the regional and national health systems.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The USCS will be the institution in charge of leading the Observatory: \u201cWe are in charge of the observatory, which means collecting as much information as possible that will serve the health teams to establish policies. At this time we are writing information on the level of knowledge about telemedicine in the Region, specifically in the health teams, in the community and in the students of the area\u201d, explained Carlos Z\u00fa\u00f1iga, coordinator of the observatory.<\/p>

On the other hand, the Regional Government of Biob\u00edo estimates that the execution of the project will benefit 180,000 people directly and more than 500,000 indirectly. La Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de la Sant\u00edsima Concepci\u00f3n (UCSC) y la Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n (UdeC), anunciaron la creaci\u00f3n del Centro Regional de Telemedicina y Telesalud en la regi\u00f3n del Biob\u00edo. El Centro Regional de Telemedicina y Telesalud, se ubicar\u00e1 en la regi\u00f3n del Biob\u00edo, y tiene como objetivo mejorar el acceso y la cobertura de salud para la poblaci\u00f3n de la zona a trav\u00e9s de estrategias de telemedicina y telesalud. La Facultad de Medicina de la UCSC y la Unidad de Telemedicina de la UdeC, lograron asociarse para la implementaci\u00f3n de este programa, que adem\u00e1s busca fortalecer el ecosistema de Salud Digital en la regi\u00f3n. El Centro Regional de Telemedicina contar\u00e1 con cuatro ejes de acci\u00f3n: Educaci\u00f3n, I-D-i-e (Investigaci\u00f3n, desarrollo, innovaci\u00f3n y emprendimiento), Cl\u00ednico asistencial y Observatorio de Salud Digital. En cuanto al \u00faltimo eje, este tiene como objetivo la creaci\u00f3n y formalizaci\u00f3n de un Observatorio Regional de Salud Digital, para la sistematizaci\u00f3n de procesos, an\u00e1lisis de datos, evaluaci\u00f3n de resultados y toma de decisiones. Esto con el fin de favorecer a los sistemas de salud regional y nacional. La USCS, ser\u00e1 la instituci\u00f3n encargada de liderar el Observatorio: “Nosotros estamos a cargo del observatorio, lo cual significa recopilar el m\u00e1ximo de informaci\u00f3n que va a servir a los equipos de salud, para establecer pol\u00edticas. En este momento estamos redactando informaci\u00f3n sobre el nivel de conocimiento que hay sobre la telemedicina en la Regi\u00f3n, espec\u00edficamente en los equipos de salud, en la comunidad y en los estudiantes del \u00e1rea\u201d, explic\u00f3 Carlos Z\u00fa\u00f1iga, coordinador del observatorio. Por otra parte, el Gobierno Regional de Biob\u00edo, estima que la ejecuci\u00f3n del proyecto, beneficie a 180 mil personas de manera directa y a m\u00e1s de 500 mil indirectamente.
