The Peruvian Ministry of Health (Minsa), the Korea International Cooperation Agency (Koica) and the Peruvian International Cooperation Agency (APCI), announced the Digitalization of Comprehensive Health Insurance (SIS) project.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Since June of last year, this project was announced with the goal of achieving its full operation in December 2026. Called "Project for the digitization of the management of the Comprehensive Health Insurance and the telemedicine platform to improve the quality of health services of the vulnerable population in Peru\u201d, aims to achieve the optimization of the current insurance system, by improving the quality and accessibility of telemedicine services and contributing to the advances of the Minsa Digital Agenda.<\/p>

The pilot test will initially be deployed in the Metropolitan area of Lima, Callao and Iquitos, in 12 health establishments, with the aim of expanding it to 300 establishments when the project is completed. It is estimated that the project will benefit 770 thousand people, through its platform that will work through the National Telehealth Network.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

For its part, since June 2021, Koica had announced its contribution of 7 million dollars for the training of human, technical and material resources required for the implementation of the project.<\/p>

Likewise, the Minsa announced that an integrated working group has been formed for technical decision-making, which will be led by the SIS and the Telemanagement Directive for the implementation and development of Telehealth (Digtel). "This reflects the firm commitment of the sector to the execution of such an important project that contributes to the objectives of the Minsa," explained the Minister of Health Jorge L\u00f3pez Pe\u00f1a.<\/p>

El Ministerio de Salud de Per\u00fa (Minsa), la Agencia de Cooperaci\u00f3n Internacional de Corea (Koica) y la Agencia Peruana de Cooperaci\u00f3n Internacional (APCI), anunciaron el proyecto de Digitalizaci\u00f3n del Seguro Integral de Salud (SIS). Desde junio del a\u00f1o pasado, este proyecto fue anunciado con la meta de lograr su pleno funcionamiento en diciembre de 2026. Denominado \u201cProyecto de digitalizaci\u00f3n de la gesti\u00f3n del Seguro Integral de Salud y la plataforma de telemedicina para mejorar la calidad de los servicios de salud de la poblaci\u00f3n vulnerable en el Per\u00fa\u201d, tiene como objetivo lograr la optimizaci\u00f3n del sistema de seguros actual, al mejorar la calidad y accesibilidad a servicios de telemedicina y contribuir a los avances de la Agenda Digital del Minsa.
