The Social Health Security (EsSalud), signed an agreement with the National Penitentiary Institute of Peru (INP), to provide telemedicine services to the insured population in prisons.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The agreement between EsSalud and the INP will begin on April 25 and will offer telemedicine care to its policyholders in prisons in Peru, with the aim of improving their health condition. Likewise, EsSalud explained that there will be 48 establishments that will offer their services through this modality.<\/p>

"With this agreement we are going to benefit 8,000 inmates of the prison population at the national level that have EsSalud," explained Alegre Ra\u00fal Fonseca, executive president of EsSalud.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

He also highlighted the value of telemedicine in these cases, "Via Telemedicina we are going to give you timely care, deliver medications and perform auxiliary tests," he concluded.<\/p>

Medical teleconsultations will be for general medicine, specialties, and mental health. In the same way, they will provide a telesupport service in the X-ray diagnosis, and transfers of the inmates to establishments to carry out studies will be managed.<\/p>

El Seguro Social de Salud (EsSalud), firm\u00f3 un acuerdo con el Instituto Nacional Penitenciario del Per\u00fa (INP), para brindar servicios de telemedicina a la poblaci\u00f3n asegurada en los penales. El convenio entre EsSalud y el INP comenzar\u00e1 el 25 de abril y ofrecer\u00e1 atenci\u00f3n por telemedicina a sus asegurados en los penales de Per\u00fa, con el objetivo de mejorar su condici\u00f3n de salud. Asimismo, EsSalud explic\u00f3 que ser\u00e1n 48 los establecimientos que ofrecer\u00e1n sus servicios a trav\u00e9s de esta modalidad. \u201cCon este convenio vamos a beneficiar a 8 mil internos de la poblaci\u00f3n penitenciaria a nivel nacional que cuenta con EsSalud\u201d explic\u00f3, Alegre Ra\u00fal Fonseca, presidente ejecutivo de EsSalud. Las teleconsultas m\u00e9dicas ser\u00e1n de medicina general, de especialidades, y de salud mental. De igual forma brindar\u00e1n servicio de tele apoyo en el diagn\u00f3stico de rayos X, y se gestionar\u00e1n traslados de los internos a establecimientos para realizar estudios.
