In the \u00d1uble Region, south of the central zone of Chile, specifically in the city of San Carlos, is the Dr. Benicio Arzola Medina Hospital, the fourth establishment in the country that will have remote assistance lenses. This initiative has been promoted by the \u00d1uble Health Service, the Assistance Network Management Division (DIGERA) and the Department of Digital Health of the Ministry of Health.<\/p>

In the case of the San Carlos Hospital, as explained by the director of the health service, Ricardo S\u00e1nchez, he explained that this technology will support UPC teams in the hospital, and thus optimize the timely management of patients and carry out interconsultations with specialists in the required areas. On the other hand, Isa\u00ed Carrasco, who is part of the implementation team of these technologies in the Digital Strategies Unit of the Department of Digital Health, explained that this type of lens has been used in hospitals in the Santiago metropolitan area and other regions of Chili. Esta estrategia busca mejorar las atenciones en la Unidad de Paciente Cr\u00edtico (UPC).SUBT\u00cdTULO \/ RESUMEN En la Regi\u00f3n de \u00d1uble, al sur de la zona central de Chile, espec\u00edficamente en la ciudad de San Carlos, se encuentra el Hospital Dr. Benicio Arzola Medina el cuarto establecimiento en el pa\u00eds que contar\u00e1 con lentes de asistencia remota. En el caso del Hospital de San Carlos, seg\u00fan explic\u00f3 el director del servicio de salud, Ricardo S\u00e1nchez, explic\u00f3 que esta tecnolog\u00eda apoyar\u00e1 a equipos de la UPC en el hospital, y as\u00ed optimizar el manejo oportuno de los pacientes y realizando interconsultas con especialistas en las \u00e1reas requeridas. Asimismo, S\u00e1nchez agreg\u00f3 que \u201cTodo esto se realizar\u00e1 con una tecnolog\u00eda de vanguardia, que permitir\u00e1 una conexi\u00f3n de alta fidelidad, lo que sin duda significar\u00e1 un adelanto importante para la red asistencial de \u00d1uble\u201d. Por otra parte, Isa\u00ed Carrasco, que forma parte del equipo de implementaci\u00f3n de estas tecnolog\u00edas en la Unidad de Estrategias Digitales del Departamento de Salud Digital, explic\u00f3 que este tipo de lentes han sido utilizados en hospitales de la zona metropolitana de Santiago y otras regiones de Chile. \u201cLa experiencia ha sido bastante grata porque estamos llevando innovaci\u00f3n a diversos puntos, rompiendo las brechas geogr\u00e1ficas del pa\u00eds”, coment\u00f3. De esta forma, los profesionales del hospital de San Carlos, podr\u00e1n comunicarse de mejor manera con otros profesionales y especialistas de otras zonas del pa\u00eds. “Esto es muy positivo, pues permitir\u00e1 intercambiar ideas y t\u00e9cnicas de manejo de paciente cr\u00edtico en beneficio de nuestros usuarios.
