The Zorac web platform was developed by UAEMex researchers, aimed at children from five to 12 years old, with the aim of managing and preventing overweight and obesity in this age group. The specialist and member of the academic body, Donovan Casas Pati\u00f1o explained that overweight and obesity is a public health problem that requires specific actions.<\/p>

In this sense, Casas Pati\u00f1o mentioned that the platform began its development at the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020. It is a website open to the general public, in which healthy lifestyles are promoted based on physical activity. and a healthy diet. Zorac has different sections, where it explains what obesity is, diagnostic tests, ways to combat obesity, a children's menu, psychological help for children and a series of physical activation videos.<\/p>

In addition, Zorac is part of the International Network on Collective Health and Intercultural Health, which has the endorsement of universities in Peru and Brazil, with the aim of implementing similar strategies. In this way, they started a test of 800 girls and boys from public and private schools in the State of Mexico, with the aim of verifying the scope of the platform after four months.<\/p>

The results showed that the children were involved in cooking activities and promoting physical activity in their homes. Miembros del cuerpo acad\u00e9mico Nutrici\u00f3n Humana Educaci\u00f3n y Salud Colectiva de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma del Estado de M\u00e9xico (UAEMex) promueven los estilos de vida saludables como actividad f\u00edsica y dieta saludable, a trav\u00e9s de su sitio web especializado. La plataforma web Zorac, fue desarrollada por investigadores de la UAEMex, dirigida a ni\u00f1os de cinco a 12 a\u00f1os, con el objetivo del manejo y prevenci\u00f3n del sobrepeso y la obesidad en este grupo de edad. El especialista y miembro del cuerpo acad\u00e9mico, Donovan Casas Pati\u00f1o explic\u00f3 que el sobrepeso y la obesidad es un problema de salud p\u00fablica que requiere acciones espec\u00edficas. En este sentido, Casas Pati\u00f1o, mencion\u00f3 que la plataforma comenz\u00f3 su desarrollo a finales de 2019 y principios de 2020. Se trata de un sitio web abierto al p\u00fablico en general, en el que se promueven estilos de vida saludables con base en la actividad f\u00edsica y una dieta saludable. Asimismo, ofrece herramientas de diagn\u00f3stico en l\u00ednea, recomendaciones sobre el tratamiento y seguimiento para el sobrepeso y obesidad. Zorac cuenta con distintas secciones, donde explica qu\u00e9 es la obesidad, las pruebas de diagn\u00f3stico, formas de combatir la obesidad, un men\u00fa infantil, ayuda psicol\u00f3gica a ni\u00f1os y una serie de videos de activaci\u00f3n f\u00edsica. Adem\u00e1s, Zorac forma parte de la Red Internacional en Salud Colectiva y Salud Intercultural, que cuenta con el aval de universidades en Per\u00fa y Brasil, con el objetivo de implementar estrategias similares. De esta forma arrancaron una prueba de 800 ni\u00f1as y ni\u00f1os de escuelas p\u00fablicas y privadas del Estado de M\u00e9xico, con el objetivo de verificar el alcance de la plataforma luego de cuatro meses. Los resultados mostraron que los ni\u00f1os se involucraron en actividades de cocina y en la promoci\u00f3n de la actividad f\u00edsica en sus hogares. \u201cPonemos \u00e9nfasis en que el sobrepeso y la obesidad no son normales e impulsamos una conducta alimentaria que promueva estilos de vida saludables para un buen vivir\u201d, explic\u00f3 el especialista.
