The specialized journal Cancer World recognized the work carried out in Peru with the teleconsultation module for cancer patients installed at the Hospital de Lamas in San Mart\u00edn.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In 2015, the Lamas Hospital, a town in the San Mart\u00edn region, implemented a teleconsultation and telechemotherapy module, so that in face-to-face consultations, doctors and patients received remote support from specialists. Magazine Cancer World<\/em>, described this event as an important milestone since it decentralized care in cancer treatment, which for many years was available only in Lima.<\/p>

About ten years ago, the government of Peru began a strategy for the decentralization of cancer treatment, implementing various establishments of the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN) in remote areas.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Likewise, the magazine highlighted the initiative promoted by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in Peru with ONCOpeds, a tool that links pediatric oncologists with the families of minors with suspected cancer.<\/p>

The Cancer World article exemplifies the various applications of telemedicine worldwide, especially in the care and attention of cancer patients, also highlights the strategies of Australia, Canada, France and India.<\/p>

La revista especializada Cancer World, reconoci\u00f3 el trabajo realizado en Per\u00fa con el m\u00f3dulo de teleconsulta para pacientes con c\u00e1ncer instalado en el Hospital de Lamas en San Mart\u00edn. En el a\u00f1o 2015, el Hospital de Lamas, una localidad en la regi\u00f3n de San Mart\u00edn, implement\u00f3 un m\u00f3dulo de teleconsulta y telequimioterapia, de manera que en las consultas presenciales los m\u00e9dicos y pacientes recibieran apoyo a distancia de especialistas. La revista Cancer World, describi\u00f3 este hecho como un hito importante ya que descentraliz\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n en el tratamiento de c\u00e1ncer que muchos a\u00f1os estuvo disponible solo en Lima. Desde hace alrededor de diez a\u00f1os el gobierno de Per\u00fa comenz\u00f3 una estrategia para la descentralizaci\u00f3n del tratamiento de c\u00e1ncer, implementando diversos establecimientos del Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neopl\u00e1sicas (INEN) en zonas remotas. Asimismo, la revista destac\u00f3 la iniciativa impulsada por la Organizaci\u00f3n Panamericana de la Salud (OPS), en Per\u00fa con ONCOpeds, una herramienta que vincula a m\u00e9dicos onc\u00f3logos pedi\u00e1tricos con las familias de menores con sospecha de c\u00e1ncer. El art\u00edculo de Cancer World ejemplifica las diversas aplicaciones de la telemedicina a nivel mundial, especialmente en el cuidado y atenci\u00f3n a pacientes con c\u00e1ncer, asimismo destaca las estrategias de Australia, Canad\u00e1, Francia e India. De igual forma la revista tambi\u00e9n reconoci\u00f3 el trabajo de estrategias de telemedicina y tratamiento de c\u00e1ncer realizado por otros pa\u00edses de Latinoam\u00e9rica como Argentina, Brasil, Nicaragua.
