The National Program for Telementoring in Mental Health and Addictions (PNTSMA), will provide free telementoring cycles to first and second level medical personnel.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In Mexico, access to mental health services is very limited, around 15 million people live with a mental disorder and only three million receive the treatment they need. Due to social stigmas, people who require specialized care take between five and 20 years to receive the treatment they need.<\/p>

In this sense, the PNTSMA proposes to bring first and second level health personnel closer to mental health specialists so that they have the necessary training to provide mental health care. In this way, the objective is that people who require mental health care and receive it in a timely manner, do so without having to travel long distances or pay private sector specialists.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Technical Secretariat of the National Mental Health Council (STCONSAME), the body in charge of the PNTSMA, defines mentoring as "a process of accompaniment and support in the task to be performed, as well as integration into the reference group or institution." In this way, the program is focused on the distribution of practical knowledge about the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through telementoring.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In addition, it is a completely free program, aimed at first and second level care personnel that in its first year has managed to involve nearly a thousand health professionals.<\/p>

In this way, the PNTSMA has carried out several telemetry cycles, the I Cycle had the participation of 10 storm institutions and 15 groups that received training and advised 638 people from more than 150 medical units in the country. In October 2021, the II Cycle began, which includes 11 telementor institutions, 24 groups and 720 health professionals trained in 507 medical units.<\/p>

The third and first cycle of 2022 began on January 17 and has the participation of 13 telementor institutions, 25 groups and 800 professionals who will receive training for 10 weeks.<\/p>

Registration for the IV Cycle begins on March 29 and closes on April 6; the V Cycle begins its inscriptions on June 27 and closes on July 1; The VI and last Cycle of the year opens its inscriptions on September 19 and closes on the 22nd of the same month. All Cycles have a duration of ten weeks.<\/p>

El Programa Nacional de Telementor\u00eda en Salud Mental y Adicciones (PNTSMA), brindar\u00e1 ciclos de telementor\u00eda gratuita a personal m\u00e9dico de primer y segundo nivel de atenci\u00f3n. En M\u00e9xico el acceso a servicios de salud mental se encuentra muy limitado, alrededor de 15 millones de personas viven con un trastorno mental y solo tres millones reciben el tratamiento que necesitan. Debido a los estigmas sociales, las personas que requieren atenci\u00f3n especializada tardan entre cinco y 20 a\u00f1os para recibir el tratamiento que necesitan. En este sentido el PNTSMA plantea acercar al personal de salud de primer y segundo nivel a especialistas en salud mental para que cuenten con la capacitaci\u00f3n necesaria para brindar atenci\u00f3n en salud mental. De esta forma, el objetivo es que las personas que requieran de atenci\u00f3n en salud mental y la reciban de manera oportuna, lo hagan sin tener que desplazarse largas distancias o pagar a especialistas del sector privado. El Secretariado T\u00e9cnico del Consejo Nacional de Salud Mental (STCONSAME), organismo encargado del PNTSMA, define la mentor\u00eda como \u201cun proceso de acompa\u00f1amiento y apoyo en la tarea a desempe\u00f1ar, as\u00ed como la integraci\u00f3n en el grupo o instituci\u00f3n de referencia\u201d. De esta forma el programa est\u00e1 enfocado en distribuci\u00f3n de conocimientos pr\u00e1cticos sobre el diagn\u00f3stico y tratamiento de enfermedades mentales a trav\u00e9s de telementor\u00eda. Adem\u00e1s, se trata de un programa completamente gratuito, dirigido a personal de primer y segundo nivel de atenci\u00f3n que en su primer a\u00f1o ha logrado involucrar a cerca de mil profesionales de la salud. De esta forma el PNTSMA ha realizado diversos ciclos de telemetr\u00eda, el I Ciclo cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de 10 instituciones tormenteras y 15 grupos que recibieron capacitaci\u00f3n y asesoraron a 638 personas de m\u00e1s de las 150 unidades m\u00e9dicas del pa\u00eds. En octubre de 2021 arranc\u00f3 el II Ciclo, que incluiye a 11 instituciones telementoras, 24 grupos y 720 profesionales de la salud capacitados en 507 unidades m\u00e9dicas. El tercer ciclo y primero del 2022, comenz\u00f3 el 17 de enero y cuenta con la participaci\u00f3n de 13 instituciones telementoras, 25 grupos y 800 profesionales que recibir\u00e1n la capacitaci\u00f3n durante 10 semanas. Las inscripciones para el IV Ciclo comienzan el 29 de marzo y cierran el 6 de abril; el V Ciclo inicia sus inscripciones el 27 de junio y cierra el 1 de julio; el VI Ciclo y \u00faltimo del a\u00f1o abre sus inscripciones el 19 de septiembre y cierra el 22 del mismo mes.
