As part of actions to digitize services and renew technical equipment in hospitals, the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare (MSPBS) of Paraguay completed the acquisition of new digital X-ray equipment.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The MSPBS, through a public tender, managed to acquire 50 digital X-ray equipment to equip various health centers in the country. In addition, the equipment had an approximate cost of 3 million 666 thousand 172 dollars.\u00a0<\/p>

Likewise, 30 of the acquired equipment are portable X-rays, so they can be used in mobile health sessions and bring this service closer to rural and\/or remote communities. On the other hand, the remaining 20 teams are fixed teams, which will be placed in hospitals. X-ray equipment is accompanied by radiographic printers which can obtain high-resolution images, in addition, another of its functions is the ability to store this information on CD, DVD or directly on a USB memory.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The strategy of the MSPBS is to modernize and digitize the radiology services of district and regional hospitals throughout Paraguay. Thus, it will also directly benefit patients who will have less exposure to X-ray radiation with this kind of equipment.<\/p>

On the other hand, waiting times to access radiology services would be reduced since the images obtained through the new equipment are generated almost instantaneously. In this sense, digital equipment will also replace entire darkrooms used to obtain images in analog form.<\/p>

Similarly, another benefit of digital equipment is the quality of the images, which will help doctors achieve a better interpretation for diagnosing patients.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Como parte de acciones de digitalizaci\u00f3n de los servicios y renovaci\u00f3n de los equipos t\u00e9cnicos en hospitales, el Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica y Bienestar Social (MSPBS) de Paraguay, complet\u00f3 la adquisici\u00f3n de nuevo equipamiento de rayos X digitales. El MSPBS, mediante una licitaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica, logr\u00f3 la adquisici\u00f3n de 50 equipos de rayos X digitales para equipar diversos centros de salud en el pa\u00eds. Adem\u00e1s, los equipos tuvieron un costo aproximado de 3 millones 666 mil 172 d\u00f3lares.  Asimismo, 30 de los equipos adquiridos son de Rayos X port\u00e1tiles, por lo que podr\u00e1n utilizarse en jornadas de salud m\u00f3vil y acercar este servicio a comunidades rurales y\/o alejadas. Por otra parte, los 20 equipos restantes son equipos fijos, que ser\u00e1n colocados en hospitales. Los equipos de Rayos X est\u00e1n acompa\u00f1ados de impresoras radiogr\u00e1ficas las cuales pueden obtener im\u00e1genes de alta resoluci\u00f3n, adem\u00e1s, otra de sus funciones es la capacidad de almacenar esta informaci\u00f3n en CD, DVD o directamente en una memoria USB. La estrategia del MSPBS, es modernizar y digitalizar los servicios de radiolog\u00eda de hospitales distritales y regionales de todo Paraguay. As\u00ed pues, tambi\u00e9n beneficiar\u00e1 directamente a los pacientes que tendr\u00e1n menos exposici\u00f3n a radiaci\u00f3n de Rayos X con esta clase de equipos. Por otro lado, los tiempos de espera para acceder a los servicios de radiolog\u00eda, se ver\u00edan reducidos ya que las im\u00e1genes obtenidas a trav\u00e9s de los nuevos equipos se generan casi de forma instant\u00e1nea. En este sentido el equipo digital tambi\u00e9n remplazar\u00e1 cuartos oscuros enteros utilizados para obtener im\u00e1genes de forma anal\u00f3gica. De igual forma, otro de los beneficios de los equipos digitales es la calidad de las im\u00e1genes, lo que ayudar\u00e1 a que los m\u00e9dicos logren una mejor interpretaci\u00f3n para el diagn\u00f3stico de los pacientes.
