The Health Technology Assessment Network of the Americas (RedETSA), was created in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2011, its work includes collaborations with ministries of health, regulatory authorities and the World Health Organization (WHO).<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

RedETSA, is a non-profit organization with a presence in 19 countries in 39 institutions, its objective is to strengthen and promote the health technology assessment process in the American continent.<\/p>

Some of the main objectives of RedETSA include identifying the status of health technology assessment at the national, subregional, and regional levels; identify the factors to facilitate its implementation and promote networking and good practices.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

From November 29 to December 3, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), and the Brazilian Network for Health Technology Assessment (REBRATS), organized the XII Meeting of RedETSA and the II Meeting of REBRATS, on the occasion of the celebration of the tenth anniversary of RedETSA and the National Committee for the Integration of Technologies in the Unified Health System (CONITEC) of Brazil.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The event was held virtually and had more than a thousand participants, including delegates from ministries of health, representatives of security institutions and health technology assessment networks, and education and research institutions in the region.<\/p>

The main theme of the event was Innovation and Access and the objective was to strengthen the links between RedETSA and REBRATS, and thus encourage the exchange of experiences among the participants.<\/p>

In addition, there were panels and round tables where topics such as health economics, health technologies in the pandemic and the evaluation of medical devices were discussed.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

La Red de Evaluaci\u00f3n de Tecnolog\u00eda en Salud de las Am\u00e9ricas (RedETSA), fue creada en R\u00edo de Janeiro, Brasil en 2011, su trabajo incluye colaboraciones con ministerios de salud, autoridades reguladoras y la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS). La RedETSA, es una organizaci\u00f3n sin fines de lucro con presencia en 19 pa\u00edses en 39 instituciones, su objetivo es fortalecer y promover el proceso de evaluaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas sanitarias en el continente americano. Algunos de los objetivos principales de la RedETSA incluyen identificar la situaci\u00f3n de la evaluaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas de salud a nivel nacional, subregional y regional; identificar los factores para facilitar su implementaci\u00f3n y promover el trabajo en red y las buenas pr\u00e1cticas.  Del 29 de noviembre al 3 de diciembre, la Organizaci\u00f3n Panamericana de la Salud (OPS), y la Red Brasile\u00f1a de Evaluaci\u00f3n de Tecnolog\u00edas Sanitarias (REBRATS), organizaron la XII Reuni\u00f3n de RedETSA y la II Reuni\u00f3n de REBRATS, con motivo de la celebraci\u00f3n del diez aniversario de la RedETSA y del Comit\u00e9 Nacional para la Integraci\u00f3n de Tecnolog\u00edas en el Sistema \u00danico de Salud (CONITEC) de Brasil. El evento se realiz\u00f3 de manera virtual y cont\u00f3 con m\u00e1s de mil participantes, entre ellos delegados de ministerios de salud, representantes de instituciones de seguridad y redes de evaluaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas sanitarias e instituciones de educaci\u00f3n e investigaci\u00f3n de la regi\u00f3n. El tema principal del evento fue Innovaci\u00f3n y Acceso y el objetivo fue fortalecer los v\u00ednculos entre la RedETSA y la REBRATS, y as\u00ed fomentar el intercambio de experiencias entre los participantes.
