In Peru, the electronic medical record (EHR) is available for internet access 24 hours a day in the more than 400 attention centers of the Social Health Insurance of Peru (EsSalud).<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

EsSalud has generated more than 14 million EHRs, since it indicated the digitization process. This has streamlined the tasks for nearly 20,000 health professionals and administrative personnel in the care of policyholders nationwide.<\/p>

In addition, Mario Carhuapoma Yance, executive president of EsSalud, in a meeting with the Ministry of Health, the Armed Forces and the National Police, announced that they will work together to create and implement a standardized and automated system for the management of HCE.<\/p>

The EHR contains information such as patient appointments, medical history of outpatient care, hospitalization, emergencies or surgeries, diagnoses, prescriptions, treatments and more. "With this system, EsSalud eliminated problems of loss of test results, reduced the time to complete risk reports, allowed to schedule surgeries and reduced trips to Lima made by patients for referrals," explained Carhuapoma.<\/p>

En Per\u00fa la historia cl\u00ednica electr\u00f3nica (HCE) est\u00e1 disponible para su acceso en internet las 24 horas del d\u00eda en los m\u00e1s de 400 centros de atenci\u00f3n del Seguro Social de Salud del Per\u00fa (EsSalud). EsSalud ha generado m\u00e1s de 14 millones de HCE, desde que indic\u00f3 el proceso de digitalizaci\u00f3n. Esto ha agilizado las tareas para cerca de 20 mil profesionales de salud y personal administrativo en la atenci\u00f3n de asegurados a nivel nacional. Adem\u00e1s, Mario Carhuapoma Yance, presidente ejecutivo de EsSalud en una reuni\u00f3n con el Ministerio de Salud, las Fuerzas Armadas y la Polic\u00eda Nacional, dio a conocer que trabajar\u00e1n en conjunto para la creaci\u00f3n e implementaci\u00f3n de un sistema estandarizado y automatizado para la gesti\u00f3n de la HCE. De esta forma en caso de emergencias, los m\u00e9dicos y el personal del hospital cuentan con la HCE del paciente para tomar decisiones informadas. \u201cCon este sistema, EsSalud elimin\u00f3 problemas de p\u00e9rdida de resultados de ex\u00e1menes, redujo los tiempos para completar informes de riesgo, permiti\u00f3 programar cirug\u00edas y disminuy\u00f3 los viajes a Lima que hac\u00edan los pacientes por referencias\u201d, explic\u00f3 Carhuapoma.
