The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), through the Social Digital initiative, created a platform that shows the progress of regulatory frameworks on the implementation of electronic medical records (EHR) in 26 countries in the Latin American and Caribbean region .<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Social Digital is an IDB initiative, whose objective is to bring the benefits of technology to the following priority sectors: health and social protection, education, work, social security, migration, gender and diversity. Among its areas of work are digital transformation and the creation of a data ecosystem.<\/p>

In this sense, Social Digital created an interactive platform that shows current regulatory frameworks at the national level for the implementation of EHRs in Latin America and the Caribbean. Through the tool it is possible to make comparisons between countries and to know the normative documents of each country.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The information is organized into five fundamental categories for the implementation of EHR systems:<\/p>

    The platform has a map and a list of countries where several options can be selected to make a comparison. Said comparison is shown through a radial graph whose extremes are represented by the five categories mentioned previously.<\/p>

    For example, in Latin America, countries such as Uruguay and Peru, have a complete advance of EHR and it has been fully introduced in their health systems. On the other hand, Mexico, according to the IDB tool, has an advance of 94,74% in the implementation of HCE.<\/p>

    The tool allows the regulations and laws that apply in each territory for the development of the EHR to be displayed when selecting a country.<\/p>

    El Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID), a trav\u00e9s de la iniciativa Social Digital, cre\u00f3 una plataforma que muestra el avance de los marcos normativos sobre la implementaci\u00f3n de historias cl\u00ednicas electr\u00f3nicas (HCE) en 26 pa\u00edses de la regi\u00f3n de Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe. La informaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 organizada en cinco categor\u00edas fundamentales para la implementaci\u00f3n de sistemas de HCE: Especificidades de la HCE Protecci\u00f3n de datos de pacientes y uso secundario de la informaci\u00f3n Accionar de los profesionales de la salud Rol de los pacientes en relaci\u00f3n con sus datos de salud Est\u00e1ndares en salud e interoperabilidad de la HCE La plataforma cuenta con un mapa y una lista de pa\u00edses donde se pueden seleccionar varias opciones para realizar una comparaci\u00f3n. Dicha comparaci\u00f3n se muestra a trav\u00e9s de un gr\u00e1fico radial cuyos extremos est\u00e1n representados por las cinco categor\u00edas mencionadas previamente. Por ejemplo, en Latinoam\u00e9rica, pa\u00edses como Uruguay y Per\u00fa, tienen un avance completo de la HCE ya ha sido introducido plenamente en sus sistemas de salud.
