national specialists in interoperability and application of the electronic medical record (ECE) or electronic medical record (EHR).<\/p><p>The first panelist of the international seminar was Luis Tejerina, leading specialist in the Social Protection and Health Division of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The IDB has a tool that evaluates the progress of regulations in each country of the Latin American and Caribbean region: <a href=\"https:\/\/socialdigital.iadb.org\/en\/sph\/dashboard\">https:\/\/socialdigital.iadb.org\/en\/sph\/dashboard<\/a><\/li><li>Knowledge management and public health: Decision making, communication process and creation of multidisciplinary teams.<\/li><li>Infrastructure: On centralized, decentralized or hybrid systems.<\/li><li>Infostructure: Interoperability, cybersecurity, among others.<\/li><li>Health Applications.<\/li><li>People and Culture: Organizational structure and change management.<\/li><\/ul><p>After the IDB&#039;s presentation, topics on legislation, the Official Mexican Standards on the ECE, compliance standards, interoperability and more were addressed. El evento se realiz\u00f3 de forma virtual del 17 al 19 de noviembre y cont\u00f3 con especialistas internacionales y nacionales en interoperabilidad y aplicaci\u00f3n del expediente cl\u00ednico electr\u00f3nico (ECE) o historia cl\u00ednica electr\u00f3nica (HCE). El primer panelista del seminario internacional, fue Luis Tejerina, especialista l\u00edder en la Divisi\u00f3n de Protecci\u00f3n Social y Salud del Banco interamericano de Desarrollo (BID). En su exposici\u00f3n Tejerina, explic\u00f3 los beneficios de la HCE. Tambi\u00e9n explic\u00f3 que en ecosistemas de salud en Estados Unidos se hace la distinci\u00f3n entre la Historia M\u00e9dica Electr\u00f3nica y la HCE, la primera es la versi\u00f3n digital de los registros en papel, mientras que la segunda permite el acceso a la informaci\u00f3n de todos profesionales involucrados en la salud del paciente. En Latinoam\u00e9rica al ECE o HCE se les nombra de distintas formas, en Argentina por ejemplo se le llama historia cl\u00ednica informatizada; en Costa Rica, expediente digital \u00fanico en salud; mientras que en Colombia y M\u00e9xico utilizan los t\u00e9rminos HCE y ECE, respectivamente. Por otra parte, Tejerina, mostr\u00f3 diversos ejemplos de casos de \u00e9xito de aplicaci\u00f3n de HCE en Uruguay a nivel nacional y en Bah\u00eda, Brasil. Adem\u00e1s, resalt\u00f3 las seis dimensiones en las que trabaja el BID al implementar este tipo de estrategias: Gobernanza y Gesti\u00f3n: Relacionado con la normativa nacional y local.
