The Ministry of Health participated in the 2nd International Conference on Networks and Distance Communication in Health, whose theme was \u201cTelehealth for Equity\u201d.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

On November 10 and 11, the International Conference on Networks and Distance Communication in Health was held in the province of Santiago del Estero: "Telehealth for equity", which managed to bring together provincial and national health authorities, as well as exhibitors from different countries such as Cuba, Brazil, United States, Mexico, Paraguay and Venezuela.<\/p>

The Secretary of Equity in Health, V\u00edctor Urbani, on behalf of the Minister of Health of the Nation, attended as a representative of the Ministry of Health of the Nation, and explained the need to create health policies that reduce inequity in Argentina. He also highlighted the importance of consolidating and articulating the public health system with the private one, which during the pandemic made it possible to meet the needs in different regions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Urbani also highlighted the importance of the joint work of the national government with the provincial governments. This work allowed the implementation of telemedicine services and programs which, in his words: \u201chas allowed us to improve access to health for citizens. People affected by the pandemic had a diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of their pathology through modern tools.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In addition, he announced that the rest of the year and next year, the Argentine Satellite Solutions Company (ARSAT), will install 1,700 satellite antennas to connect isolated communities and allow the implementation of telemedicine services.<\/p>

On the other hand, during his participation, Javier Turienzo, National Director of Coverage Integration, presented some details about the 2022-23 Telemedicine Plan. Regarding the plan, he highlighted: \u201cthe need to have a new platform that comes to solve the problems expressed by the different jurisdictions and national hospitals. In addition to providing primary health care with enabling technology so that each Primary Health Care Center (CAPS) can connect\u201d.<\/p>

In addition, he mentioned that there are currently 3,055 registered CAPS connected through ARSAT and the Telemedicine Plan aims to increase that figure to 4,752. \u201cThe idea is to go for a new platform that improves the existing one and that integrate both the public and private systems\u201d, concluded the national director of Coverage Integration.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

El Ministerio de Salud particip\u00f3 en el 2do Congreso Internacional de Redes y Comunicaci\u00f3n a Distancia en Salud que tuvo como tema \u201cTelesalud para la Equidad\u201d. El 10 y 11 de noviembre se desarroll\u00f3 en la provincia de Santiago del Estero, el Congreso Internacional de Redes y Comunicaci\u00f3n a Distancia en Salud: \u201cTelesalud para la equidad\u201d, que logr\u00f3 reunir a autoridades de salud provinciales y nacionales, as\u00ed como expositores de distintos pa\u00edses como Cuba, Brasil, Estados Unidos, M\u00e9xico, Paraguay y Venezuela. El secretario de Equidad en Salud, V\u00edctor Urbani, en nombre de la ministra de Salud de la Naci\u00f3n, acudi\u00f3 como representante del Ministerio de Salud de la Naci\u00f3n, y explic\u00f3 la necesidad de crear pol\u00edticas en salud que logren disminuir la inequidad en Argentina. Tambi\u00e9n resalt\u00f3 la importancia de consolidar y articular el sistema de salud p\u00fablico con el privado, que durante la pandemia permiti\u00f3 satisfacer las necesidades en diferentes regiones. Urbani tambi\u00e9n resalt\u00f3 la importancia del trabajo conjunto del gobierno nacional con los gobiernos provinciales. Dicho trabajo permiti\u00f3 implementar servicios y programas de telemedicina los cuales en sus palabras: \u201cnos ha permitido mejorar el acceso a la salud de los ciudadanos. Personas afectadas por la pandemia tuvieron un diagn\u00f3stico, tratamiento y seguimiento de su patolog\u00eda a trav\u00e9s de modernas herramientas\u201d. Adem\u00e1s, anunci\u00f3 que lo que resta del a\u00f1o y el a\u00f1o entrante la Empresa Argentina de Soluciones Satelitales (ARSAT), instalar\u00e1 mil 700 antenas satelitales para conectar comunidades aisladas y permitir la implementaci\u00f3n de servicios de telemedicina. Por otra parte, durante su participaci\u00f3n, Javier Turienzo, director nacional de Integraci\u00f3n de Coberturas, present\u00f3 algunos detalles sobre el Plan de Telemedicina 2022-23. Sobre el plan resalt\u00f3: \u201cla necesidad de contar con una nueva plataforma que venga a resolver los problemas manifestados por las distintas jurisdicciones y hospitales nacionales. Adem\u00e1s de brindarle a la atenci\u00f3n primaria de la salud tecnolog\u00eda habilitante para que cada Centro de Atenci\u00f3n Primaria de la Salud (CAPS) pueda conectarse\u201d. Adem\u00e1s, mencion\u00f3 que, actualmente se tiene registrados 3 mil 55 CAPS conectados a trav\u00e9s de ARSAT y el Plan de Telemedicina tiene como objetivo aumentar esa cifra a 4 mil 752. \u201cLa idea es ir por una nueva plataforma que mejore la ya existente y que integre tanto al sistema p\u00fablico como privado\u201d, concluy\u00f3 el director nacional de Integraci\u00f3n de Coberturas.
