In 2006, telemedicine in Brazil began to take shape through an initiative of the Ministry of Health (MS), supported by the Parintins Telemedicine Center and the State University of Amazonas (UEA).<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In Amazonas, the Telesalud Amazonas project (Telessa\u00fade AM) and the Telesalud Amazonas Center were born 15 years ago, as a project for the universalization of health in the state. The center was equipped with telecommunications equipment, which has evolved in recent years. There are currently 68 Telehealth points installed in Amazonas, of which 63 correspond to urban areas and five to indigenous communities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The coordinator of Telessaude AM, Cleinaldo de Almeida Costa, highlighted the importance of the UEA's role in promoting telehealth in the state: "I want to express my happiness for working together with all the people involved in this project and supporting them in the communities more remote and also in those of conservation. Above all, this is the role of UEA Telesalud, which is present in 61 municipalities of the Amazon in the interior and in the capital. The objective of the program is to serve remote regions of the state and reach the most vulnerable population in communities and protected areas of the Amazon. In 2020, the cardiology telediagnosis service served 61 municipalities and recorded a total of 38,000 electrocardiogram (ECG) reports.<\/p>

During the pandemic, the demand for telemedicine services increased in the region, and from March 2020 to September 2021, Telessa\u00fade AM provided 39,079 remote medical examinations.<\/p>

On the other hand, Telessa\u00fade AM also has continuing education services, consisting of tele-education programs on primary health care. En 2006, la telemedicina en Brasil comenz\u00f3 a tomar forma a trav\u00e9s de una iniciativa del Ministerio de Salud (MS), apoyada por el Centro de Telemedicina Parintins y la Universidad Estatal de Amazonas (UEA). En Amazonas naci\u00f3 hace 15 a\u00f1os el proyecto Telesalud Amazonas (Telessa\u00fade AM) y el Centro de Telesalud Amazonas, como un proyecto para la universalizaci\u00f3n de la salud en el estado. El centro fue equipado con equipos de telecomunicaciones, que ha evolucionado en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. Actualmente existen 68 puntos de Telesalud instalados en Amazonas, de los cuales 63 corresponden a \u00e1reas urbanas y cinco a comunidades ind\u00edgenas. El coordinador de Telessaude AM, Cleinaldo de Almeida Costa, resalt\u00f3 la importancia del papel de la UEA en la promoci\u00f3n de la telesalud en el estado: \u201cQuiero expresar mi felicidad por trabajar junto a todas las personas involucradas en este proyecto y apoyarlas en las comunidades m\u00e1s remotas y tambi\u00e9n en las de conservaci\u00f3n. Sobre todo, este es el rol de la UEA Telesalud, que est\u00e1 presente en 61 municipios del Amazonas en el interior y en la capital. Hoy podemos vislumbrar los logros y frutos de este proyecto tan importante para el estado\u201d. El objetivo del programa es atender a las regiones remotas del estado y llegar a la poblaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s vulnerable en comunidades y \u00e1reas protegidas de la Amazonia. En 2020, el servicio de tele diagn\u00f3stico de cardiolog\u00eda atendi\u00f3 en 61 municipios y registr\u00f3 un total de 38 mil informes de electrocardiograma (ECG). Durante la pandemia la demanda de los servicios de telemedicina aument\u00f3 en la regi\u00f3n, y desde marzo de 2020 hasta septiembre de 2021, Telessa\u00fade AM brind\u00f3 39 mil 079 reconocimientos m\u00e9dicos remotos. Por otra parte, Telessa\u00fade AM, tambi\u00e9n cuenta con servicios de educaci\u00f3n continua, que consiste en programas de teleeducaci\u00f3n sobre atenci\u00f3n primaria en salud. M\u00e1s de 8 mil profesionales se han beneficiado de esta estrategia.
