Factors such as age, individual risk of CVD and bleeding, and patient preferences must be taken into account.<ul><li>Grade C: individual assessment according to professional criteria and patient preferences. There is moderate evidence that the ultimate benefit is small.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>According to the latest evidence <strong>patients 60 years or older<\/strong> without a history of CVD (primary prevention) should NOT start taking aspirin, as the risk of bleeding outweighs the possible benefits of aspirin (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uspreventiveservicestaskforce.org\/uspstf\/about-uspstf\/methods-and-processes\/grade-definitions\">GRADE D<\/a>).<ul><li>Grade D: the use of aspirin is discouraged in these patients. Se deben de tomar en cuenta factores como la edad, riesgo individual de ECV y de sangrado, preferencias del paciente. Grado C: valoraci\u00f3n individual seg\u00fan el criterio profesional y las preferencias del paciente. Existe evidencia moderada de que el beneficio final es peque\u00f1o. Seg\u00fan la \u00faltima evidencia los pacientes de 60 a\u00f1os o m\u00e1s sin historia de ECV (prevenci\u00f3n primaria) NO deben empezar a tomar aspirina, ya que el riesgo de sangrado supera los posibles beneficios de \u00e9sta (GRADO D). Grado D: se desaconseja el uso de aspirina en estos pacientes. Se tiene evidencia moderada-alta de que el riesgo supera los beneficios. Esta recomendaci\u00f3n no aplica para pacientes que ya toman aspirina o que han tenido ECV previamente (prevenci\u00f3n secundaria).
