The Chilean Ministry of Health (Minsal) implemented a new medical prescription digitalization system, with the purpose of facilitating the prescription of medications during the health emergency. And also with the aim of streamlining the processes for access to medicines.<\/p>

This proposal to digitize the Minsal was born thanks to a bill sponsored by the senate<\/a>, which sought the modification of the health code to allow medicines to be delivered with copies of physical or digital medical prescriptions.<\/p>

The platform where digital medical prescriptions will be issued is designed for doctors and pharmaceutical chemists. The system developed by the Minsal allows the validation of prescriptions for psychotropic and narcotic drugs. The sereminenlinea.minsal.cl Platform has several verification steps, such as the Unique National Role (RUN) and the Unique Key, so that the pharmacist can generate an electronic medical prescription. And on the other hand, the prescriber, that is, the medical professional, only has to enter the platform with their credentials, write the word "digitalized" next to the signature of the prescription and later the image of the prescription will be sent to the patient's email . La estrategia de las recetas m\u00e9dicas electr\u00f3nicas en Chile tiene como objetivo facilitar la prescripci\u00f3n de medicamentos psicotr\u00f3picos y estupefacientes durante la pandemia. El Ministerio de Salud de Chile (Minsal) implement\u00f3 un nuevo sistema de digitalizaci\u00f3n de recetas m\u00e9dicas, con el prop\u00f3sito de facilitar la prescripci\u00f3n de medicamentos durante la emergencia sanitaria. Y tambi\u00e9n con el objetivo de agilizar los procesos para el acceso a medicamentos. Esta propuesta de digitalizaci\u00f3n del Minsal naci\u00f3 gracias a un proyecto de ley impulsado por el Senado, que busc\u00f3 la modificaci\u00f3n del c\u00f3digo sanitario para permitir que se entreguen medicamentos con copias recetas m\u00e9dicas f\u00edsicas o digitales. La plataforma donde se expedir\u00e1n las recetas m\u00e9dicas digitales est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ada para m\u00e9dicos y qu\u00edmicos farmac\u00e9uticos. El sistema desarrollado por el Minsal, permite la validaci\u00f3n de recetas de medicamentos psicotr\u00f3picos y estupefacientes. Adem\u00e1s, la plataforma permitir\u00e1 la prescripci\u00f3n de medicamentos de forma remota. La Plataforma sereminenlinea.minsal.cl, cuenta con varios pasos de verificaci\u00f3n, como el Rol \u00danico Nacional (RUN) y la Clave\u00danica, para que el farmac\u00e9utico pueda generar una receta m\u00e9dica electr\u00f3nica. Y por otra parte el prescriptor, es decir el profesional m\u00e9dico, solo debe ingresar a la plataforma con sus credenciales, escribir la palabra “digitalizada” junto a la firma de la receta y posteriormente se enviar\u00e1 la imagen de la receta al correo electr\u00f3nico del paciente. Por otra parte, el usuario al acudir a la farmacia, debe presentar su RUN y el folio de la receta para obtener su medicamento. Finalmente, el qu\u00edmico farmac\u00e9utico deber\u00e1 ingresar a la plataforma para confirmar que la receta m\u00e9dica ha sido dispensada en una farmacia, y de esta forma ya no ser\u00e1 v\u00e1lida en otro establecimiento. De esta forma, el Minsal facilita la prescripci\u00f3n y la dispensaci\u00f3n de medicamentos a trav\u00e9s de un sistema digital seguro y confiable.
