The Comprehensive Center for Mental Health (CISAME), of the Technical Secretariat of the National Mental Health Council, is a unit specializing in mental health, psychiatry, psychological care and physical rehabilitation. <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Until 2020, care at CISAME had always been provided in person, however, after the health emergency, the schemes had to be modified in order to continue providing services to patients.<\/p>

More than a year ago, in August 2020, CISAME began providing remote care. \u201cThe experience has been really enriching, since we had never had the opportunity to carry out this practice before, so at first it represented a challenge, one of the main barriers we faced was making sure that both patients and therapists we could have access to the technology that would allow us to participate in this type of work\u201d, explains a report from the National Center for Technological Excellence in Health (CENETEC).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

CISAME provided training to therapists and specific support for the effective use of the technologies necessary for remote care. However, there were challenges such as \u201climited access to devices to participate in telepractice in the work environment\u201d.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The therapists implemented didactic materials such as videos and music and verified that this type of digital resources managed to increase motivation in pediatric patients "the benefit obtained by implementing this way of working is that it has been possible to give a more efficient flow to the waiting lists since the treatments can be "intensive" by being able to intervene more than once a week with the users without this representing an extra expense, thus shortening the waiting times for admission to the service".<\/p>

El Centro Integral de Salud Mental (CISAME), del Secretariado T\u00e9cnico del Consejo Nacional de Salud Mental es una unidad especializada en salud mental, psiquiatr\u00eda, atenci\u00f3n psicol\u00f3gica y rehabilitaci\u00f3n f\u00edsica. Hasta el a\u00f1o 2020 la atenci\u00f3n en el CISAME siempre se hab\u00eda dado de forma presencial, sin embargo, tras la emergencia sanitaria los esquemas tuvieron que ser modificados para poder seguir brindando servicios a los pacientes. Hace m\u00e1s de un a\u00f1o, en agosto de 2020, el CISAME comenz\u00f3 a brindar atenci\u00f3n a distancia. \u201cLa experiencia ha sido realmente enriquecedora, ya que, nunca antes hab\u00edamos tenido la oportunidad de realizar esta pr\u00e1ctica por lo que en un inicio represento todo un reto, una de las principales barreras a las cuales nos enfrentamos fue asegurarnos de que tanto pacientes como terapeutas pudi\u00e9ramos tener acceso a la tecnolog\u00eda que nos permitiera participar en esta modalidad de trabajo”, explica un informe del Centro Nacional de Excelencia Tecnol\u00f3gica en Salud (CENETEC). El CISAME brind\u00f3 capacitaci\u00f3n a los terapeutas y apoyo espec\u00edfico para el uso efectivo de las tecnolog\u00edas necesarias para la atenci\u00f3n a distancia. Sin embargo, existieron desaf\u00edos como el “acceso limitado a dispositivos para participar en la tele pr\u00e1ctica en el entorno laboral”. Los terapeutas implementaron materiales did\u00e1cticos como videos y m\u00fasica y comprobaron que este tipo de recursos digitales lograron aumentar la motivaci\u00f3n en los pacientes pedi\u00e1tricos \u201cel beneficio obtenido al implementar esta forma de trabajo es que se ha podido dar un flujo m\u00e1s eficaz a las listas de espera ya que los tratamientos pueden ser \u201cintensivos\u201d al poder intervenir m\u00e1s de una vez por semana con los usuarios sin que esto les represente un gasto extra, acortando as\u00ed los tiempos de espera para el ingreso al servicio\u201d.
