Yesterday, the virtual event Technological Trends in Digital Health was held, organized by the Latin American Digital Health Magazine.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The event organized by the Latin American Digital Health Magazine virtually brought together specialists on various topics related to Digital Health, such as cybersecurity, digitization, interoperability, telehealth, electronic medical records and more.<\/p>

The first exponent was Andr\u00e9s Cajamarca, SSenior Manager Systems Engineering<\/em>, at the cybersecurity company Fortinet. Who, through his theme "Cybersecurity to protect the health sector from contagion", explained some of the challenges in adopting new technologies in health systems.<\/p>

Some of the challenges identified were: cloud adoption; adoption of new WANs (Wide Area Networks); flexibility in access to equipment and devices; and the application of the Internet of Medical Things, such as the mix of administrative and health networks.<\/p>

The second speaker was Jos\u00e9 Sol\u00eds Padilla, SSenior Global Business Director Americas<\/em> for Mayo Clinic. In his topic entitled: "Accelerating adaptability health strategies, the new health standard", he discussed the force of change in health systems.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Sol\u00eds Padilla presented the five forces of change: the first, related to the precise diagnosis of diseases, which must be carried out anywhere and at any time; the second related to communication with the patient; the third, on virtual interactions; the fourth, focused on research, education and collaboration between professionals; and fifth, that the old business models have run their course and are now obsolete.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The third specialist to present was Stephanie Colmenares, LATAM Solutions Engineer at Hyland (a process management software) and her topic \u201cThe last frontier of interoperability: unstructured content\u201d. The company where he works has a health platform that is connected as if it were a business system. This software makes it possible for organizations to visualize patient information, such as medical history, so that specialists can make informed decisions.<\/p>

He also delved into the subject of informed consent and the technology that supports it so that it is respected.<\/p>

"From theory to practice: implementation of electronic medical records", was the topic of Oscar Huapaya, corporate head of Biomedical Informatics at the San Pablo Hospital Complex in Peru. He explained the stages of implementation of the electronic medical record and the lessons learned from his experience, such as the implementation time, age segmentation, staff training, the support profile, among others.<\/p>

Other topics presented were:<\/p>
