The Faculty of Medicine of the National University of San Marcos (UNMSN) created the first diploma course in Digital Health and Telehealth in Peru. It will be virtual 100%. <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

On July 1, the UNMSM approved the initiative of the San Fernando School of Medicine, for the creation of a specialized diploma in Digital Health and Telehealth. This is the first diploma that seeks the training and professionalization of health personnel in these areas, given the growing creation and implementation of Digital Health solutions in health services in Peru.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The idea for this project arose in 2017, after the creation of the Telehealth Unit in the Faculty of Medicine: "with the development of projects we realized that there is a need in our health system to have courses or a master's degree on digital health and telehealth, since there is no deep academic knowledge of what the use of technology means and its repercussion in the health area\u201d, explained Dr. Leonardo Rojas Mezarina, coordinator of the Telehealth Unit.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The course seeks to promote the exercise of Digital Health competence in health establishments and departmental subsystems throughout the country. \u201cThe digital skills that will be developed in the course are focused on knowing in which cases certain technologies can be used, what are the risks and benefits of the use of technology applied to certain populations. In addition, it addresses issues related to information security, personal data protection, big data and artificial intelligence\u201d, explained Dr. Rojas Mezarina.<\/p>

The course will be held virtually and will have four modules: digital government, health information systems, electronic medical records, telehealth, and project management. Which contain detailed chapters on each thematic axis.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

La Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSN) cre\u00f3 el primer diplomado en Salud Digital y Telesalud de Per\u00fa. Ser\u00e1 100% virtual. El 1 de julio la UNMSM aprob\u00f3 la iniciativa de la Facultad de Medicina San Fernando, para la creaci\u00f3n de un diplomado especializado en Salud Digital y Telesalud. Se trata de la primera diplomatura que busca la capacitaci\u00f3n y profesionalizaci\u00f3n del personal de salud en estos rubros, ante la creciente creaci\u00f3n e implementaci\u00f3n de soluciones de Salud Digital en los servicios de salud de Per\u00fa. La idea de este proyecto surgi\u00f3 en 2017, tras la creaci\u00f3n de la Unidad de Telesalud en la Facultad de Medicina: \u201ccon el desarrollo de proyectos nos percatamos que existe una necesidad en nuestro sistema de salud de tener cursos o alguna maestr\u00eda sobre salud digital y telesalud, pues no existe un conocimiento acad\u00e9mico profundo de lo que significa el uso de las tecnolog\u00edas y la repercusi\u00f3n en el \u00e1rea de salud”, explic\u00f3 el Dr. Leonardo Rojas Mezarina, coordinador de la Unidad de Telesalud. El diplomado busca promover el ejercicio de competencia de Salud Digital en establecimientos de salud y subsistemas departamentales en todo el pa\u00eds. “Las competencias digitales que se desarrollar\u00e1n en el diplomado est\u00e1n enfocadas en saber en qu\u00e9 casos se pueden utilizar determinadas tecnolog\u00edas, cu\u00e1les son los riesgos y beneficios del uso de la tecnolog\u00eda aplicadas a determinadas poblaciones. Adem\u00e1s, aborda temas relacionados con la seguridad de la informaci\u00f3n, la protecci\u00f3n de datos personales, big data e inteligencia artificial”, explic\u00f3 el Dr. Rojas Mezarina. El diplomado se realizar\u00e1 de manera virtual y contar\u00e1 con cuatro m\u00f3dulos: gobierno digital, sistemas de informaci\u00f3n de salud, historias cl\u00ednicas electr\u00f3nicas, telesalud y gesti\u00f3n de proyectos.
