Through the modernization and digitization of health service delivery establishments, the state of Michoac\u00e1n managed to establish a strategy with various Digital Health tools to serve the population. <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In 2017, the Government of the State of Michoac\u00e1n and the State Health Secretariat launched a digitalization strategy in health services, through a network of computer equipment with internet connection and enabled to make electronic clinical records. That year, this equipment was installed in basic health units to begin digitalization little by little.<\/p>

Subsequently, the Health Registration System (SRS) was created, which currently exists in all the entity's medical units, at all levels of care. The SRS and the collection and management of medical data gave way to the creation of the Center for Health Intelligence (CIS) in May 2020.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The implementation of digital tools in hospitals and medical centers has allowed doctors to make and deliver electronic prescriptions to patients and also digitally record the data collected during a consultation.<\/p>

On the other hand, modernization in the provision of health services was key to applying telemedicine tools during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through an information network that connected 438 health centers and modules, 27 hospitals and 73 mobile units, it was possible to implement this remote care service.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Through this network, the response to COVID-19 infections was more efficient, in the same way the data from the consultations formed part of the epidemiological surveillance carried out by the state during the health emergency. In addition, the CIS has a command center that was especially useful during the COVID-19 health emergency, thanks to the display of graphs and indicators on the progress or reduction of infections.<\/p>

Also as part of the Telemedicine strategy in response to the pandemic, the Ministry of Health created an application: Mi Salud Mich. Thanks to this app, they managed to make more than 6,700 video calls, assisting the population with their doubts about the virus, how to perform care, and how to treat the disease at home if it is not serious. Through video calls, the progress of COVID-19 was evaluated in patients who were recovering at home.<\/p>

Another of the actions carried out thanks to telemedicine were consultations with patients with childhood cancer. At the "Eva Samano de L\u00f3pez Mateos" Children's Hospital, pediatric patients were monitored remotely, to avoid displacement and possible COVID-19 infections. In the hospital they carried out more than 500 medical attentions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A trav\u00e9s de la modernizaci\u00f3n y digitalizaci\u00f3n de los establecimientos de prestaci\u00f3n de servicios de salud, el estado de Michoac\u00e1n logr\u00f3 establecer una estrategia con diversas herramientas de Salud Digital para atender a la poblaci\u00f3n. En 2017 el Gobierno del Estado de Michoac\u00e1n y la Secretar\u00eda de Salud Estatal, pusieron en marcha una estrategia de digitalizaci\u00f3n en servicios de salud, a trav\u00e9s de una red de equipos de c\u00f3mputo con conexi\u00f3n a internet y habilitados para realizar expedientes cl\u00ednicos electr\u00f3nicos. Aquel a\u00f1o, en unidades b\u00e1sicas de salud fueron instalados estos equipos para comenzar la digitalizaci\u00f3n poco a poco. Posteriormente fue creado el Sistema de Registro en Salud (SRS), que actualmente existe en todas las unidades m\u00e9dicas de la entidad, en todos los niveles de atenci\u00f3n. El SRS y la recolecci\u00f3n y administraci\u00f3n de datos m\u00e9dicos dio paso a la creaci\u00f3n del Centro de Inteligencia en Salud (CIS) en mayo de 2020. La implementaci\u00f3n de herramientas digitales en los hospitales y centros m\u00e9dicos, ha permitido que los m\u00e9dicos realicen y entreguen recetas m\u00e9dicas electr\u00f3nicas a los pacientes y adem\u00e1s registren digitalmente los datos recopilados durante una consulta. Por otra parte, la modernizaci\u00f3n en la prestaci\u00f3n de servicios de salud, fue clave para aplicar herramientas de telemedicina durante la pandemia de COVID-19. A trav\u00e9s de una red de informaci\u00f3n que conect\u00f3 438 centros y m\u00f3dulos de salud, 27 hospitales y 73 unidades m\u00f3viles, fue posible implementar este servicio de atenci\u00f3n a distancia. A trav\u00e9s de dicha red, la respuesta ante los contagios de COVID-19 fue m\u00e1s eficiente, de igual forma los datos de las consultas formaron parte de la vigilancia epidemiol\u00f3gica que ha realizado el estado durante la emergencia sanitaria. Adem\u00e1s, el CIS cuenta con un centro de mando que fue especialmente \u00fatil durante la emergencia sanitaria por COVID-19, gracias a la visualizaci\u00f3n de los gr\u00e1ficos e indicadores sobre el avance o reducci\u00f3n de los contagios. Tambi\u00e9n como parte de la estrategia de Telemedicina en respuesta a la pandemia, la Secretar\u00eda de Salud cre\u00f3 una aplicaci\u00f3n: Mi salud Mich. Gracias a esta app, lograron realizar m\u00e1s de 6 mil 700 videollamadas, atendiendo a la poblaci\u00f3n sobre sus dudas del virus, como realizar los cuidados y como tratar la enfermedad en casa en caso de que no sea grave. A trav\u00e9s de videollamadas se evalu\u00f3 el avance del COVID-19 en los pacientes que se encontraban recuper\u00e1ndose en sus domicilios. Otra de las acciones realizadas gracias a la telemedicina, fueron las consultas a pacientes con c\u00e1ncer infantil. En el Hospital Infantil \u201cEva Samano de L\u00f3pez Mateos\u201d, se les dio seguimiento a distancia a los pacientes pedi\u00e1tricos, para evitar desplazamientos y posibles contagios de COVID-19. En el hospital realizaron m\u00e1s de 500 atenciones m\u00e9dicas.
