The Peruvian Ministry of Health (Minsa) will strengthen the Telehealth strategy in the department of Cajamarca through improvements in technology and training for Health Network personnel.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In the department of Cajamarca, the staff of the Health Network will receive training in telehealth through an internship in the General Directorate of Telehealth, Reference and Emergencies (Digtel) of the Minsa. This aims to improve their capabilities and skills in the use and implementation of technologies to provide health services at a distance.<\/p>

On July 9, the participants met with the representatives of the different Digtel units, such as the Telemedicine Directorate, the Infosalud Directorate and the Mobile Emergency Care Service Directorate (SAMU), the directorates in charge of managing the Digital Health services , which include telemedicine, telehealth and other services.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Edward Mundaca, director of the Cajamarca Health Network, recognized the progress that technologies have made within health services, especially telemedicine, which has been key to saving costs and being more efficient in the provision of services: \u201c Telemedicine is the key tool to achieve sustainable care and improve people's health, cost savings and greater efficiency at the care level, in addition to shortening space and time with patients from very remote areas in our province. El Ministerio de Salud de Per\u00fa (Minsa), fortalecer\u00e1 la estrategia de Telesalud en el departamento de Cajamarca a trav\u00e9s de mejoras en las tecnolog\u00edas y la capacitaci\u00f3n al personal de la Red de Salud. En el departamento de Cajamarca, el personal de la Red de Salud, recibir\u00e1 capacitaci\u00f3n en telesalud a trav\u00e9s de una pasant\u00eda en la Direcci\u00f3n General de Telesalud, Referencia y Urgencias (Digtel) del Minsa. Esto tiene como objetivo mejorar sus capacidades y habilidades en el uso e implementaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas para brindar servicios de salud a distancia. El 9 de julio los participantes se reunieron con los representantes de las diferentes unidades de Digtel, como la Direcci\u00f3n de Telemedicina, Direcci\u00f3n de Infosalud y Direcci\u00f3n de Servicio de Atenci\u00f3n M\u00f3vil de Urgencia (SAMU), las direcciones encargadas de gestionar los servicios de Salud Digital, que incluyen telemedicina, telesalud y otros servicios. \u201cLa Digtel tiene el rol de proponer normas, lineamientos, planes, estrategias para implementar los ejes de desarrollo de la Telesalud, a escala nacional\u201d, destac\u00f3 la directora de la Direcci\u00f3n General de Telesalud, Referencia y Urgencias, Liliana M\u00e1 C\u00e1rdenas.
