The Brazilian Ministry of Defense will implement a telehealth plan to bring medical care to remote areas in Brazil, which are usually the most vulnerable.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Through a strategy coordinated by the Ministry of Defense, they will seek to strengthen the quality of medical care in 128 basic health units (UBS). The possibility that remote populations can attend consultations with medical specialties without making long trips is unlikely, which is why the Ministry of Defense decided to support the project to bring specialized medical care to the Cristalina area, according to General Marco Ant\u00f4nio Martin, responsible for the program.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201cFor example, we have teledermatology precisely because these people are very exposed to the sun, it is not easy to find this specialty and they end up developing skin diseases or even cancer due to lack of follow-up. The same goes for teleophthalmology: people who have difficulty seeing also have difficulty doing manual labor. Cardiovascular diseases, today, are the most common, that's why we put telecardiology. These three specialties would be the flagship," Martin explained to Correio newspaper, when asked about the characteristics of the population and the specialties they will receive.<\/p>

For the project to work, they have needed two types of basic infrastructure, first energy thanks to the intervention of the Ministry of Mines and Energy through the program "More Light\u201d<\/em> and the other, the Internet, which will come through the Ministry of Communications. That is, four ministries, including Health, collaborating to implement this important project.<\/p>

On the other hand, participating medical specialists are part of the Juana Azurduy, Intercultural Community Family Health (Safci) and the National Health Program programs. In addition, general practitioners also participate to complement the service.<\/p>

El Ministerio de Defensa de Brasil, implantar\u00e1 un plan de telesalud para llevar atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica a zonas remotas en Brasil, que suelen ser las m\u00e1s vulnerables. Adicionalmente, est\u00e1 el programa de telemedicina que incluir\u00e1 especialidades como teledermatolog\u00eda, teleoftalmolog\u00eda o telecardiolog\u00eda. La posibilidad de que poblaciones remotas puedan asistir a consultas de especialidades m\u00e9dicas sin realizar viajes largos es poco probable, por eso el Ministerio de Defensa decidi\u00f3 apoyar el proyecto de llevar atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica especializada a la zona de Cristalina, seg\u00fan explic\u00f3 el general Marco Ant\u00f4nio Martin, responsable del programa. “Por ejemplo, tenemos la tele dermatolog\u00eda precisamente porque estas personas est\u00e1n muy expuestas al sol, no es f\u00e1cil encontrar esta especialidad y acaban desarrollando enfermedades de la piel o incluso c\u00e1ncer por falta de seguimiento. Lo mismo ocurre con la teleoftalmolog\u00eda: las personas que tienen dificultades para ver tambi\u00e9n tienen dificultades para realizar trabajos manuales. Las enfermedades cardiovasculares, hoy en d\u00eda, son las m\u00e1s comunes, por eso ponemos la telecardiolog\u00eda. Estas tres especialidades ser\u00edan el buque insignia”, explic\u00f3 Martin a el diario Correio, al ser cuestionado sobre las caracter\u00edsticas de la poblaci\u00f3n y las especialidades que recibir\u00e1n. Para que el proyecto funcione, han necesitado dos tipos de infraestructuras b\u00e1sicas, primero la energ\u00eda gracias a la intervenci\u00f3n del Ministerio de Minas y Energ\u00eda a trav\u00e9s del programa \u201cMais Luz\u201d y el otro, el Internet, que llegar\u00e1 a trav\u00e9s del Ministerio de Comunicaciones. Es decir, cuatro ministerios, incluido el de Salud, colaborando para implementar este importante proyecto.
