The Secretariat of Health of Hidalgo, offers a telemedicine service that provides and promotes remote care in more than 50 medical specialties.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The state of Hidalgo in Mexico, implemented the State Telemedicine Network program in August 2017. They started offering synchronous and asynchronous teleconsultation services, in hospitals located in remote areas. In the Sierra Otom\u00ed-Tepehua the Hospital B\u00e1sico Comunitario Huehuetla and in the Sierra de la Huasteca the Hospital General de la Huasteca, were connected to the General Hospital of Pachuca.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

By October of that same year, the first neurosurgery teleconsultation was performed. And after two years of implementing the program, in 2019 they managed to exceed half a thousand specialty teleconsultations provided in one year with 586. For 2020, the specialties of psychiatry and paidopsychiatry were added.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Health emergency response<\/strong><\/p>

In 2020, as an immediate response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Telemedicine Network added four hospital units, and connected with specialties in pneumology and nephrology. From January to October they were able to perform 828 remote consultations in the available medical specialties.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In addition, as part of the response, the state Health Secretariat installed an \"inflatable hospital\" in the Bicentennial esplanade in the state capital. A telemedicine office was also set up within this hospital, which has a capacity of 40 hospital beds.<\/p>

One of the most important services implemented were the teleradiology and tele-diagnostic radiology services, which now operates in 16 hospitals throughout the state and in the COVID-19 Immediate Response temporary hospitals in Actopan, Huehuetla, Huejutla and Pachuca. \"With this service, any physician who so desires can request an interconsultation with the aim of having the specialist physician give his opinion of a treatment for patients with suspected or confirmed coronavirus infection,\" explains the Telehealth Observatory of the National Center for Technological Excellence in Health. From March to November 2020, more than 6,000 simple radiography and tomography studies were interpreted.<\/p>

Telemonitoring has also been an important part of the care of COVID patients who were hospitalized. Home telemonitoring lasts for 21 days after discharge from the hospital. The monitoring kit includes: oximeter, thermometer, oxygen concentrator, glucometer and blood pressure monitor, through the kit the patient performs self-monitoring, which must be sent to the physician by e-mail.<\/p>

Beyond the pandemic<\/strong><\/p>

On the other hand, through the Specialized Medical Units, teleconsultations related to care for the elderly, addictions, breast cancer, domestic violence, as well as counseling and professional assistance in psychology, psychiatry and geriatrics have been provided.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

La Secretar\u00eda de Salud de Hidalgo, cuenta con un servicio de telemedicina que brinda y promueve la atenci\u00f3n remota en m\u00e1s de 50 especialidades m\u00e9dicas. El estado de Hidalgo en M\u00e9xico, implement\u00f3 el programa de la Red Estatal de Telemedicina en agosto de 2017. Comenzaron ofreciendo servicios de teleconsulta s\u00edncrona y as\u00edncrona, en hospitales ubicados en zonas remotas. En la Sierra Otom\u00ed-Tepehua el Hospital B\u00e1sico Comunitario Huehuetla y en la Sierra de la Huasteca el Hospital General de la Huasteca, se conectaban al Hospital General de Pachuca.            Para octubre de ese mismo a\u00f1o realizaron la primera teleconsulta de neurocirug\u00eda. Y tras dos a\u00f1os de implementar el programa, en 2019 lograron superar el medio millar de teleconsultas de especialidad brindadas en un a\u00f1o con 586. Para 2020 se agregaron las especialidades de psiquiatr\u00eda y paidopsiquiatr\u00eda. Respuesta ante la emergencia sanitaria En 2020, como respuesta inmediata ante la pandemia de COVID-19, la Red de Telemedicina agreg\u00f3 cuatro unidades hospitalarias, y conectaron con especialidades en neumolog\u00eda y nefrolog\u00eda. De enero a octubre lograron realizar 828 consultas a distancia en las especialidades m\u00e9dicas disponibles. Adem\u00e1s, como parte de la respuesta la Secretar\u00eda de Salud estatal instal\u00f3 un “hospital inflable” en la explanada Bicentenario en la capital del estado. Dentro de este hospital con capacidad de 40 camas de hospitalizaci\u00f3n, tambi\u00e9n se coloc\u00f3 un consultorio de telemedicina. Uno de los servicios m\u00e1s importantes implementados fueron los servicios de tele radiolog\u00eda y tele diagn\u00f3stico radiol\u00f3gico, que ahora opera en 16 hospitales a lo largo y ancho del estado y en los hospitales temporales de Respuesta Inmediata COVID-19 en Actopan, Huehuetla, Huejutla y Pachuca. “Con este servicio, cualquier m\u00e9dico que lo desee puede solicitar una interconsulta con la finalidad de que el m\u00e9dico especialista otorgue su opini\u00f3n de un tratamiento de pacientes con sospecha o confirmados con la infecci\u00f3n de coronavirus”, explica el Observatorio de Telesalud del Centro Nacional de Excelencia Tecnol\u00f3gica en Salud. De marzo a noviembre de 2020 interpretaron m\u00e1s de 6 mil estudios de radiograf\u00eda simple y tomograf\u00eda. El telemonitoreo tambi\u00e9n ha sido parte importante para el cuidado de los pacientes COVID que fueron hospitalizados. El telemonitoreo domiciliario tiene una duraci\u00f3n de 21 d\u00edas posteriores a su alta del hospital. El Kit de seguimiento incluye: ox\u00edmetro, term\u00f3metro, concentrador de ox\u00edgeno, gluc\u00f3metro y tensi\u00f3metro, a trav\u00e9s del kit el paciente realiza su automonitoreo, que deber\u00e1 enviar al m\u00e9dico por correo electr\u00f3nico.
