In the city of Quer\u00e9taro, some schools are preparing for the return of students to classes after more than a year. Faced with the new reality due to the pandemic, they have implemented \"Benebot\", a robot with an Artificial Intelligence (AI) system, developed in China, which scans for possible symptoms of COVID-19 in students.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In the central part of the robot, where its chest is located, there is a space for users to place their hands and Benebot measures their temperature. On the side it has a screen where it explains the data of the person being analyzed, it has a system to record the data of each student and follow up day by day.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In addition, the cameras and temperature sensor located on the \"forehead\" and \"eyes\" of the robot, are able to identify through the AI system, if the student has health problems such as flu, chickenpox, and high temperature.<\/p>

\"It takes a picture of the eye, analyzes the redness, sees where it starts, where it grows. And there it keeps the relation of each anomaly. It also does the same on hands and mouth,\" explained Antonio Robles, head of Benebot's Technology area.<\/p>

Students' parents and teachers of the schools where Benebot will be applied have shown their approval. \"It is important to emphasize that it is for the safety of all the other classmates, because when sharing a classroom, they are always at risk of contagion,\" explained Gabriela Montufal, a teacher at one of the schools where this robot will be applied.<\/p>

In addition to Quer\u00e9taro, there are also schools in Oaxaca, Puebla and Mexico City that have acquired this robot to detect COVID-19 symptoms in schools and make them a safer place.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Benebot, ya ha sido implementado en escuelas en m\u00e1s de 40 pa\u00edses y en M\u00e9xico al menos hay 15 escuelas que han adquirido esta tecnolog\u00eda. Ante la nueva realidad por la pandemia, han implementado a “Benebot”, un robot con un sistema de Inteligencia Artificial (IA), desarrollado en China, que hace un escaneo de posibles s\u00edntomas de COVID-19 en los alumnos. En la parte central del robot, donde est\u00e1 ubicado su torso, tiene un espacio para que los usuarios pongan sus manos y Benebot mida su temperatura. En la parte lateral tiene una pantalla donde explica los datos de la persona analizada, cuenta con un sistema para registrar los datos de cada alumno y darle seguimiento d\u00eda a d\u00eda. Adem\u00e1s, las c\u00e1maras y el sensor de temperatura ubicadas en la “frente” y en los “ojos” del robot, son capaces de identificar a trav\u00e9s del sistema de IA, si el estudiante tiene problemas de salud como gripa, varicela, y alta temperatura. \u201cHace una toma del ojo, analiza el enrojecimiento, ve de d\u00f3nde nace, hacia d\u00f3nde crece. Y ah\u00ed se guarda la relaci\u00f3n de cada anomal\u00eda. Igualmente lo hace en manos y lo hace en boca”, explic\u00f3 Antonio Robles, encargado del \u00e1rea de Tecnolog\u00eda de Benebot. Los padres de familia y profesores de los estudiantes de las escuelas donde se aplicar\u00e1 Benebot, han mostrado su aprobaci\u00f3n. “Es importante destacar que es para seguridad de todos los dem\u00e1s compa\u00f1eritos, porque al compartir un aula, siempre est\u00e1n en el riesgo de contagio”, explic\u00f3 Gabriela Montufal profesora de uno de los colegios donde se aplicar\u00e1 este robot.
