The CeTeC-U (Centro de Telemedicina COVID - Universitario), were implemented by the Ministry of Health of the Province of Buenos Aires in April 2020, to provide medical counseling to people with suspected or confirmed COVID-19.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t

The CeTeCs, were enabled in universities throughout the province of Buenos Aires, in cities such as Avellaneda, Almirante Brown, or Mar del Plata. Specifically, it is in the latter, at the National University of Mar del Plata (UNMDP), where the CeTeC-U has specially implemented an area specializing in telepsychology, to provide counseling to confirmed cases of COVID-19 who are in home isolation.<\/p>

The faculties of Psychology, Health Sciences and the School of Medicine have more than 160 volunteers in total, who provide remote consulting on their specialty related to COVID-19.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In August 2020, the Faculty of Psychology implemented the Telemedicine Care Center for Mental Health, thanks to which they have been able to provide psychological support to people who are infected with COVID-19 and are in Preventive and Mandatory Social Isolation (ASPO).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

With a team of volunteers, graduates or current students of the faculty, the CeTeC-U, of the UNMDP, carry out evaluations of the level of complexity to decide the process of care, whether it is social development, psychological therapy sessions or psychiatry. Through this free service, volunteers provide support and listening to people during their isolation.<\/p>

The volunteers have explained their experiences with this type of remote care: \"Often, in these first telephone contacts, the people on the other end of the phone reveal aspects of a state of emotional and mental complexity that cross the frontier of medical science and, upon detecting this, they offer Professional Psychology Accompaniment\".<\/p>

Hey also explain that the internal learning process among the team of volunteers that they carry out on a weekly basis is important. \"This space is considered as the main support to carry out the device, generate debates and self-care tools\", they explain.<\/p>

Regarding the problems that have been detected during the support sessions, the Telemedicine Care Center for Mental Health has maintained contact with local authorities to follow up on the cases: \"During the calls we have come across different social problems, such as gender violence and child abuse, for example. Faced with these situations, we have contacted different devices and municipal institutions to refer them, such as the Directorate of Gender Policies and the Local Service for the Protection of Children's Rights\".<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Los CeTeC-U (Centro de Telemedicina COVID \u2013 Universitarios), fueron implementados por el Ministerio de Salud de la Provincia de Buenos Aires en abril de 2020, para brindar asesor\u00eda m\u00e9dica a personas con sospecha o resultado confirmado de COVID-19. Los CeTeC, fueron habilitados en universidades a lo largo de la provincia de Buenos Aires, en ciudades como Avellaneda, Almirante Brown, o Mar del Plata. Es en esta \u00faltima, espec\u00edficamente en la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (UNMDP), donde el CeTeC-U, ha espec\u00edficamente implementado un \u00e1rea de especialidad en tele psicolog\u00eda, para brindar asesor\u00eda a casos confirmados de COVID-19 que se encuentran en aislamiento domiciliario. Las facultades de Psicolog\u00eda, Ciencias de la Salud y la Escuela Superior de Medicina cuentan con m\u00e1s de 160 voluntarios en total, que brindan asesor\u00eda telef\u00f3nica sobre su especialidad en relaci\u00f3n con COVID-19. La Facultad de Psicolog\u00eda, implement\u00f3 en agosto de 2020, el Centro de Atenci\u00f3n en Telemedicina para Salud Mental, gracias al cual han logrado brindar acompa\u00f1amiento psicol\u00f3gico a personas que se encuentran enfermas de COVID-19 y se mantienen en Aislamiento Social Preventivo y Obligatorio (ASPO). Con un equipo de voluntarios egresados o estudiantes actuales de la facultad, el CeTeC-U, de la UNMDP, realizan evaluaciones del nivel de complejidad para decidir el proceso de atenci\u00f3n, ya sea desarrollo social, sesiones de terapia psicol\u00f3gica o psiquiatr\u00eda. A trav\u00e9s de este servicio gratuito, los voluntarios brindad apoyo y escucha para las personas que se encuentran en aisladas. Los voluntarios han explicado sus experiencias sobre este tipo de atenci\u00f3n a distancia: \u201cMuchas veces, en estos primeros contactos telef\u00f3nicos, las personas del otro lado del tel\u00e9fono dejan entrever aspectos de un estado de complejidad emocional y mental que cruzan la frontera de la ciencia m\u00e9dica y, al detectar esto, ofrecen el Acompa\u00f1amiento Profesional de la Psicolog\u00eda\u201d. Tambi\u00e9n explican que es importante el proceso interno de aprendizaje entre el equipo de voluntarios que realizan de manera semanal. \u201cEste espacio es considerado como el sost\u00e9n primordial para llevar a cabo el dispositivo, generar debates y herramientas de autocuidado\u201d, explican. Sobre las problem\u00e1ticas que han detectado durante las sesiones de apoyo, el Centro de Atenci\u00f3n en Telemedicina para Salud Mental, ha mantenido contacto con autoridades locales para dar seguimiento a los casos: \u201cDurante los llamados nos hemos encontrado con diferentes problem\u00e1ticas sociales, como violencia de g\u00e9nero y maltrato infantil, por ejemplo. Ante estas situaciones nos hemos contactado con diferentes dispositivos e instituciones Municipales para derivarlos, como la Direcci\u00f3n de Pol\u00edticas de G\u00e9nero y el Servicio Local de Protecci\u00f3n de los Derechos del Ni\u00f1o\u201d.
