The Secretariat of Health of Baja California Sur surpassed the figure of 100,000 remote care services provided through the 800BCSCOVID telephone line (80022726843) and the website (http:\/\/covid19.bcs.gob.mx<\/a>) on coronavirus implemented, by the state government.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The web tool, available through the portal coronavirus.bcs.gob.mx<\/a>, is aimed at the general population with any symptoms characteristic of COVID-19. In case of a suspected case, the portal offers care through telemedicine. This is a free service that the Secretariat of Health of the state of Baja California Sur, implemented months after the beginning of the pandemic last year.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Through the website, 20,493 users have performed the self-diagnosis, of which 10,792 have been suspicious cases.<\/p>

Additionally, the call center offers exclusive services in the event of a health emergency. They have received 79,792 calls from residents throughout the state, of which 20,493 were suspicious.<\/p>

Telemedicine care has allowed interactive, real-time communication between patient and physician. The city of La Paz accounted for 60% of telemedicine consultations under this telephone line and web platform scheme.<\/p>

\"This remote care scheme has been a strength of the state in the fight against the pandemic, since, by providing telephone or digital assistance, it prevents people from gathering in hospital units, where there is a higher level of exposure to the virus. It is a key strategy for Baja California Sur to avoid overcrowding of medical services as has occurred in other states in the country\", explained George Flores, Baja California Sur's Secretary of Health.<\/p>

On the other hand, the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), introduced since March of last year a telemedicine tool in its family medicine units located in the towns of Guerrero Negro, Ciudad Constituci\u00f3n and Cabo San Lucas, to connect with the HGZ No. 1 in the city of La Paz and provide specialized remote care.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

La Secretar\u00eda de Salud de Baja California Sur rebas\u00f3 la cifra de 100 mil atenciones a distancia otorgadas a trav\u00e9s de la l\u00ednea telef\u00f3nica 800BCSCOVID (80022726843) y el portal web (http:\/\/covid19.bcs.gob.mx) sobre coronavirus que implement\u00f3 el gobierno del estado. La herramienta web, disponible a trav\u00e9s del portal coronavirus.bcs.gob.mx, est\u00e1 dirigida a la poblaci\u00f3n en general que cuente con cualquier s\u00edntoma caracter\u00edstico de COVID-19. En caso de resultar como un caso sospechoso, el portal ofrece atenci\u00f3n por medio de telemedicina. Se trata de un servicio gratuito que la Secretar\u00eda de Salud del estado de Baja California Sur, habilit\u00f3 meses despu\u00e9s del comienzo de la pandemia el a\u00f1o pasado. A trav\u00e9s de la plataforma web 20 mil 493 usuarios han realizado el autodiagn\u00f3stico, de los cuales 10 mil 792 han resultado casos sospechosos. Por otra, el centro de atenci\u00f3n telef\u00f3nica, ofrece servicios de atenci\u00f3n exclusiva ante la emergencia sanitaria. Han recibido 79 mil 792 llamadas de habitantes de todo el estado, de los cuales 20 mil 493 resultaron sospechosos. La atenci\u00f3n por telemedicina ha permitido la comunicaci\u00f3n interactiva y en tiempo real entre paciente y m\u00e9dico. La ciudad de La Paz, concentr\u00f3 el 60% de las consultas por telemedicina bajo este esquema de l\u00ednea telef\u00f3nica y plataforma web. “Este esquema de atenci\u00f3n a distancia ha sido una fortaleza del estado en el combate a la pandemia, ya que, al brindar asistencia telef\u00f3nica o digital, se evita que las personas se concentren en las unidades hospitalarias, donde se tiene un mayor nivel de exposici\u00f3n al virus.
