The Dutch company Phillips announced on Monday, March 29, a collaboration agreement with Orbita Inc., a company specializing in the development of conversational AI solutions and other tools for healthcare. Orbita has been involved in the creation of medical technologies, chatbots, voice assistants, mobile health applications, among others. \u201cWith the acceleration in the adoption of telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic, AI-enabled voice services, virtual assistants and chatbots are already playing an enabling role in driving 24\/7 access to healthcare, enhancing patient engagement, and improving clinical efficiency\u201d, explained Henk van Houten, Chief Technology Officer and Head of Philips Research.<\/p>

Phillips explained in the announcement that AI has the potential to improve people's quality of life, and when applied to healthcare it has the opportunity to promote healthy lifestyles, prevent disease and improve the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses.<\/p>

Este acuerdo, tiene como objetivo la creaci\u00f3n de asistentes virtuales basados en Inteligencia Artificial (IA), destinados al tratamiento remoto y mejorar el compromiso de los pacientes.
