Since the beginning of the pandemic, Google Cloud has provided support to state and local governments in providing services to the population, such as COVID-19 testing, and more recently assistance in conducting organized vaccination processes.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In February Google Cloud launched the Intelligent Vaccine Impact Solutions<\/a> (IVI) tool. The tool is aimed at helping state and local governments advance the COVID-19 vaccination process and reach a larger population more quickly and effectively. Many states in the U.S. have begun to implement IVI in their vaccination plans thanks to its easy adaptability with available technologies and infrastructure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Google is currently working with several states to help solve specific problems in each population. Among the states that have received Google's assistance in the development of vaccination processes are: Arizona, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Oregon and Virginia.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

At the end of 2020, the Arizona\u2019s Department of Health Services established an agreement with Google Cloud and MTX to build a system for the management of the vaccination and distribution processes. The system resulted in 2.6 million vaccination doses administered and more than 4 million appointments made.<\/p>

In Massachusetts, the agreement with Google was signed in mid-March. This agreement allowed for the creation of a pre-registration system for vaccination. \u201cThe newly deployed system enables residents to quickly complete an online form with their personal details, contact information, and eligibility criteria\u201d.<\/p>

On the other hand, at the end of January in North Carolina, the Department of Health and Human Services began working with Google Cloud. this partnership resulted in the creation of online tools to help the population know their eligibility to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and locate the nearest vaccination site.<\/p>

Likewise, in Oregon, Google Cloud supported in locating eligible citizens to receive the immunization, thanks to the creation of an online platform. \u201cOregonians can now create an online profile for themselves and their families to determine eligibility for the vaccine, and receive push notification as their eligibility status changes\u201d<\/p>

Similarly, the Virginia Department of Health conducted a campaign with similar features. However, it was an individual data collection system that provides information on priority groups to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. In the first 24 hours, they achieved more than 400,000 registrations of vaccine-eligible individuals in the state, and by the end of February, 1.9 million registrations were recorded.<\/p>

Desde el comienzo de la pandemia, Google Cloud ha brindado apoyo a gobiernos locales y estatales en la prestaci\u00f3n de servicios a la poblaci\u00f3n, como pruebas COVID-19, y m\u00e1s recientemente la asistencia para llevar a cabo los procesos de vacunaci\u00f3n de forma organizada. En febrero Google Cloud lanz\u00f3 la herramienta Intelligent Vaccine Impact Solutions (IVI), la herramienta est\u00e1 orientada en que los gobiernos estatales y locales logren avanzar en los proceso de vacunaci\u00f3n contra COVID-19 y que lleguen a mayor poblaci\u00f3n de una manera m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida y efectiva. Muchos estados en EEUU han comenzado a implementar IVI en sus planes de vacunaci\u00f3n gracias a su f\u00e1cil adaptaci\u00f3n con las tecnolog\u00edas e infraestructura disponible. Actualmente Google se encuentra trabajando con diversos estados apoyando a resolver diferentes problemas espec\u00edficos de cada poblaci\u00f3n. Entre los estados que han recibido la asistencia de Google para el desarrollo de los procesos de vacunaci\u00f3n se encuentran: Arizona, Massachusetts, Carolina del Norte, Oreg\u00f3n y Virginia. A finales de 2020, el de Servicios de Salud de Arizona estableci\u00f3 un acuerdo con Google Cloud y MTX para construir un sistema para la gesti\u00f3n de los procesos de vacunaci\u00f3n y distribuci\u00f3n. A trav\u00e9s de dicho sistema se logr\u00f3 la vacunaci\u00f3n de 2.6 millones de dosis administradas y m\u00e1s de 4 millones de citas realizadas. En Massachusetts, el acuerdo con Google se firm\u00f3 a mediados de marzo. Esta alianza logr\u00f3 la creaci\u00f3n de herramientas en l\u00ednea para ayudar a la poblaci\u00f3n a conocer la elegibilidad para recibir la vacuna contra COVID-19 y localizar el sitio de vacunaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s cercano. Asimismo, en Oreg\u00f3n, Google Cloud apoy\u00f3 en la localizaci\u00f3n de ciudadanos elegibles para recibir la inmunizaci\u00f3n, gracias a la creaci\u00f3n de una plataforma online. \u201cLos residentes de Oreg\u00f3n elegibles en esas comunidades recibir\u00e1n autom\u00e1ticamente una notificaci\u00f3n de que hay un evento y luego tendr\u00e1n la oportunidad de programar una cita para la vacunaci\u00f3n\u201d. De igual forma el departamento de Salud de Virginia realiz\u00f3 una campa\u00f1a con caracter\u00edsticas similares. Sin embargo, se trat\u00f3 de un sistema individual de recopilaci\u00f3n de datos que brinda informaci\u00f3n sobre los grupos prioritarios a recibir la vacuna contra COVID-19.
